Visited on Mother’s Day because the special mothers I went with really wanted a hot fudge cake for their day. However, our server told us the manager said not only were they not serving hot fudge cakes but they were also not serving ANY food on the menu. It was either the bar or nothing. Which the food was so bland and nasty that left the whole Mother’s Day experience very disappointing and unpleasant to say the least.

The supervisor was horrible and had very bad customer service. Very argumentative about an orange we found had some kind of gray substance that looked like mold. Then she says it was the cutter and we was like still the fruit should not have no residue from the metal she was so confrontational, which is very unprofessional. Before this argument she was face to face with a customer finna fight the customer she needs to be replaced effective immediately!!!!! Bad for BUSINESS!

I had the buffet on rib night. The ribs were eatable, but nothing special. The food wasn’t bad but nothing really good. This is my second time to come here. I came on all day breakfast day the time before. It was not near as good as I remember when Shoney’s had late night breakfast on the weekends in Tupelo and in Jackson and Ridgeland, MS. Unfortunately those have all closed down. I probably won’t go a 3rd time.

This use to be my most favorite place to grab breakfast! It’s complete trash now. Most food was old and burnt and my server avoided me at all cost. Sadly I won’t return.

My sister and I stopped in at Shoney’s around lunchtime and paid about $24 for the buffet and a Coke. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the price at all. The food on the bar looked very unappealing. The mashed potatoes were instant, the fried chicken was dried out, and the meatloaf didn’t look appetizing enough to even try. There were also carrots and mac and cheese, but overall the selection felt very limited and low quality. The salad bar was small, and honestly, most of the food reminded me of something you’d get from a frozen TV dinner. In the end, I only felt comfortable eating peaches with cottage cheese and a small salad. I also wanted to get their strawberry pie, but they were completely out. It’s probably the most tastey thing on the menu! For the price, I expected much better quality and freshness. Sadly, I can understand why so many Shoney’s locations have closed over the years. Update : I went back to Shoney’s on 4/16/26 and bought a strawberry pie and took the photos I’ve added and the food on the bar looked much better today and not dried out.
