We finally checked the Rainforest Cafe off our list, and it went pretty much exactly how you would expect a highly touristy gimmick restaurant to go. The Good: The massive aquariums are absolutely beautiful and definitely the visual highlight of the restaurant. We were there for a birthday, and the celebration the staff put on was fantastic—our child was incredibly excited, and that moment alone made the stop worth it. If you have kids who love animals and high-energy birthday attention, they will be thrilled. The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, the rest of the decor feels pretty hokey, and the service was a struggle. The staff was incredibly slow, and it felt like they were constantly trying to sell us something extra throughout the entire meal. As for the food, it was very bad and heavily overpriced. It seems to be a universal rule that the food is terrible at these kinds of hyper-themed tourist spots, and this location was no exception. You are strictly paying a premium for the animatronics and the novelty. The Verdict: I’m glad we went once just to experience it and give our kid a fun birthday memory, but we've officially crossed it off the list. Now that we've done it, we will definitely be avoiding it in the future. Go for a drink to let the kids see the fish, but plan to eat your actual meal somewhere else.

We took a day trip to Nashville for shopping and riding the pump track. We decided to try Rainforest Cafe for the first time. The atmosphere was fantastic until my son started getting very overstimulated by the constant movement, light changes, and sounds. We didn't even get a chance to try the food but the server was very understanding about our situation when we asked for the check for our drinks. She wouldn't let us pay for our drinks even though I insisted so I could tip her. We felt awful for leaving but it was very hard to stay in there. Great service!

We were told when we checked in outside the gift shop area that strollers weren't allowed in due to fire regulations. It was unfortunate but our oldest son was excited to try the place so we parked our stroller outside and walked through to get to the host. As soon as we walked in we see 5 or 6 strollers, so we let the host know and ask if we can have ours since our son is very small still and doesnt like to sit in the high chairs for too long. The host tells us she didny even see the stroller 5 steps in front of her and then she says over her radio that someone HAS to have their stroller and if we can bring it in. You could clearly tell she was embarrassed because my husband pointed out there was no ways he didnt see the stroller right In front of her! We still sat down and ordered food but our server didnt come back to refill our oldest sons drink and she also didnt bring his dessert just the check after trying to find her for 15 minutes and then she disappeared again. She also had a young man that was already busy clearing tables to bring me some sauce after waiting for it as well. My husband and son also felt very unwell and had to run to the bathroom. Overall it was a bad experience and we will not be back. I am sad becahse it was a beautiful restaurant and my kids liked it.

Our server Ronnie was great and the food was delicious. The problem I have with this restaurant is that the company has the servers go through a very long sales pitch to join their club membership while we were eating. Then as we were waiting on our food we were asked by a photographer if we would like a complimentary post card and posed us in front of the aquarium and took several photos. Then she came back while we were eating to try and sell us photos and I told her not too bother us while we were eating. Because of these two factors we shall never return to this restaurant or the several that they own across the country

Everything was just perfect in terms of the restaurant to the waiters and the food was just delicious. i will say the photographer who came around was an absolute bother. she continuously had an attitude towards us and our children, not to mention forcing some of us to comply with her by pushing herself to position you the way she wanted. one of our kids is shy and decided to duck down in the very last picture; same kid she forced to get in the photo, she then took it upon herself to embarrass her by telling everyone she dropped out of the picture. After pictures were over and done with she came back about 20 minutes later and proceeded to hover over all of us while eating and making alot of us very uncomfortable. Overall food and waiter was delightful.
