on May 10, 2026, at approximately 1:00 p.m., my family and I (a party of four) had a reservation at Del Frisco’s Grille Nashville located at 201 12th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203.
We understood that it was Mother’s Day and expected the restaurant to be busy. However, the level of service we experienced was extremely disappointing and unacceptable.
Upon arrival, we waited at the hostess stand for approximately 5–7 minutes before being acknowledged. After finally being greeted, we waited an additional 15 minutes and had to approach the hostess stand ourselves after noticing several families being seated ahead of us. We were eventually seated and greeted by our waiter, who was excellent throughout the experience.
We placed our appetizer and entrée orders shortly after being seated. Unfortunately, we did not receive our appetizers until over two hours later. Our order was very simple and consisted only of Philly cheesesteak eggrolls and spinach dip. After finally receiving the appetizers, we asked about our entrées and waited an additional 30 minutes before they arrived.
At that point, we had been in the restaurant for nearly three hours. Due to the excessive wait time, the uncomfortable temperature inside the restaurant, and overall frustration with the experience, we requested that our entrées be packaged to go because we no longer wanted to continue sitting and waiting. We ultimately had to eat our Mother’s Day meal at home rather than enjoying it in the restaurant as planned.
We spoke with a manager regarding the delay and expressed our frustrations about the excessive wait times. We were told that several larger parties had arrived around the same time and that the kitchen was backed up. While the manager stated multiple times that he would “check on the food,” nothing improved regarding the timing of our order. We were offered complimentary bread while waiting, but that did little to address the situation.
I understand that delays can happen, especially on busy holidays, but waiting over two hours for appetizers and an additional 30 minutes for entrées is completely unacceptable. As a frequent customer, I was highly disappointed by the lack of urgency and concern shown by the staff, aside from our waiter, who consistently checked on us and did his best to make the situation more manageable. His professionalism and attentiveness were the only positive part of our experience, and we made sure to tip him generously because of that.
However, spending approximately $250 for such poor and delayed service on Mother’s Day is extremely disappointing. We never received the dining experience we reserved and paid for, and it felt as though our concerns were not genuinely acknowledged by management or staff.
I reached out to the “general manager” the same day via email and 6 days later I still have no response. I called them yesterday to see if I can speak with a manager and no one responded. This is terrible customer service and I will no longer be returning.

Our server Thailei was one of our favorite waitress. She was so funny and so nice and friendly. She literally handled 10 people (6 of which are kids) and even gave us really good advice! Like, me and my cousins were whispering to each other and she said that our moms were always there to talk to so we should stop keeping secrets from them because they’ve been through a lot more than we have. If you go to the restaurant, you have to recommend the server Thailei. she’s amazing 🤩!

I attended a pharmaceutical dinner at Del Frisco’s last night and had an excellent experience. The staff balanced attentive service with being quiet and discrete so that we could hear the speaker. The food was delicious, came out hot, and in a timely manner. I ordered a filet and it was cooked perfectly. The dining room for the event was private and quiet. Highly recommend dining at Del Frisco’s if you are looking for a private dining space or if you are just looking for a delicious meal and excellent service.

We had another outstanding experience at Del Frisco's in Nashville. This has become our go-to spot when hosting clients and it consistently delivers.
The food is exceptional, the atmosphere is comfortable and upscale without feeling stiff, and the staff operates at a truly professional level with noticeable teamwork.
Hailey greeted us at the door and immediately recognized me—something that makes a strong impression when you’re hosting clients. She got us seated quickly and worked seamlessly alongside Warren, who, as always, was excellent. Between the two of them, we were fully guided through drinks, appetizers, and entrées with confidence and attention to detail. Warren’s suggestions—especially the bacon, mushrooms, and other enhancements—were spot on.
The kitchen team even played a visible role in delivering parts of the meal, which added to the overall experience. We finished with dessert and coffee based on Hailey’s recommendations, and it was the perfect ending.
Bottom line: consistently superior food and exceptional service. The entire team should be proud. Thank you.
