We’ve been to Nashville multiple times and somehow kept missing this restaurant. Honestly, I’m mad at myself for not finding it sooner because this place was AWESOME.
My wife loves aquariums, so the second we walked in and saw giant fish tanks everywhere, I already knew I was about to spend money. You’re basically eating inside an aquarium while sharks and fish swim past your table. At one point I think I watched the fish more than I talked to my wife… thankfully she was busy watching them too.
Now yes, it’s a little pricey, but honestly you’re paying for the experience. The food was good, but the atmosphere is what makes this place worth it. It felt like date night mixed with a trip to the aquarium.
And of course they had photographers walking around like it’s Disney World. Next thing I know they’re showing us this photo package priced like it belongs in a museum gift shop. Did we buy it? Absolutely. Because my wife smiled at me and I suddenly forgot how money works. Happy wife, happy life.
If you’re in Nashville and want something fun, different, and honestly just entertaining, give this place a try. Great vibes, cool experience, and a guaranteed way to make your wallet a little lighter while your wife gets a little happier.

What a wonderful atmosphere with the worst food I believe I have had in quite a few years. The shrimp was overcooked so bad it was literally dry. You couldn't chew it. The crab cake was terrible and burnt. The potatoes tasted like they come out of a can. The salad had the same salsa that dumped on everything else and had no taste. This was the first time I've ever not finished a seafood platter. My wife acted happy with hers, but she was lying. Her shrimp were fried so crisp that they were like chewing leather. The only decent thing brought to the table was my son's kids pizza. It is such a sad shame with the incredible atmosphere of the aquarium in the center of the room. I probably will never go back. And the check, oh my God, one of the highest meals I've ever purchased for three people and it was absolutely terrible. If you want to take your kids for the atmosphere, order them from the kids menu and save yourself for a drive-thru on your way home. You'll be ahead. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I won't be back.

The service was great and the atmosphere was super cool. We had a reservation and got right in. The fish and the aquarium were the best part. It was so relaxing to sit there and watch them swim and they all look pretty happy and healthy. I did take off a star because the food I got was very mid. I got the sampler appetizer and it consisted of mainly chips and a lobster dip that didn't have much flavor. There were literally 2 little pieces of fried onion petals and 3 or 4 small pieces of fried gator which were mostly breading. There was a small handful of cheese bites which I probably enjoyed most. I got this as my meal and it just left me unsatisfied and made me feel like I got the bottom crumbs from the fryer. I get that it's called a sampler platter but it was really overpriced for what I received. It was our anniversary dinner so kind of disappointing. You pay for the experience basically. My husband said the same, he got the Cajun combo, said it was good but nothing to rave about. He definitely liked his food more than I did though. If you have children I think it's worth it to take them to experience it, they don't care too much about the food anyways. As a couple who went for good food and the experience, we sadly probably won't go again. This was just our experience, maybe it would have been different if we had ordered something else.
Visiting from Minnesota to celebrate our friends birthday. We decided to have dinner nearby the Opry because we were going to a show that night (You can walk across the street).
While the decision was made due to proximity, there were other options. I selected the Aquarium Restaurant because it literally has an aquarium running through the middle of the restaurant. What an amazing experience?!
When we got there we were met with exceptional service and fresh seafood.
I ordered the shrimp kisses (shrimp stuffed with pepper jack cheese and a piece of jalapeno, then wrapped in bacon). DELICIOUS! We ate them so quickly that I forgot to snap a picture.
For the main course my friend and I split the Cajun pasta dish they have which comes with not only shrimp and chicken but also sausage and craw fish. All in a rich cream.sauce tossed with linguine.
The dessert options were decadent but we had already eaten so much we couldn't continue (plus we had a show to catch!).
My friends ordered (and I tried):
- Coconut shrimp - split and coated in a flavorful coconut flake batter and fried. I could eat these everyday.
- Seafood dip - chips were light and crispy and the seafood was fresh.
We also ordered drinks, while I don't recall what mine was named, it had something to do with watermelon - stir it up if you get it, the watermelon flavor is so good and the drink is STRONG (in the best way). Don't forget your mermaid cup!!
Have a great time and make sure you walk around the entire aquarium before you leave, certain species seemed to like different parts of the tank.
We chose this restaurant to celebrate our graduate and made reservations in advance. There was a mix up with the number of guests in our party, which was taken care of by staff when they noticed this. As they were setting up our larger table, our waiter, Daniel, asked if we would prefer a different server. At the time, we were confused by the question, but it quickly became clear that his poor performance was the reason. Had we known how we would be treated, we would have taken that option.
We were a large party, and we understood he had other tables to manage. However, that did not justify the level of rudeness and attitude we experienced. Daniel was not very attentive, and when he did come to the table, he rushed us to place our orders. He became visibly irritated when we needed more time or had questions about the menu. At times, he would cut us off mid-sentence and respond with dismissive body language, which felt disrespectful and unwelcoming.
When it came time to receive our checks, I asked to speak with the manager to share our concerns. Unfortunately, her response made the situation even more disappointing. She did not seem surprised by the feedback and offered little apology, simply stating that we did not have to tip him if we chose not to. This lack of accountability was frustrating.
To make matters worse, Daniel overheard the conversation. When he returned to collect the remaining checks, he sarcastically said, “thank you for the compliment,” without offering any apology or taking responsibility for his behavior.
On another note, Jaqueline was amazing. She noticed our disappointment and stepped in to do everything she could to improve our experience. She is the true definition of a great server: attentive, professional, and genuinely caring, even assisting tables that were not her own. We truly appreciate her efforts.
Overall, this experience had the potential to be a great celebration, but the service significantly took away from what should have been a special occasion.
