Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
I write this as a customer and delivery person. Everytime I go there, it's a struggle to be attended to. Whether I'm ordering or picking up an order, employees will be laughing and joking at the pick-up window. Or be in the back where they can't be found. Or I've been here several times when an employee looks directly at me and walks past me like I don't exist. Whether I'm there as a customer or a surrogate for one, you'd think they'd want a better reputation. once you do get acknowledged, the service can be excellent depending on who is working.
The restrooms are stocked and clean. The restaurant looks clean and invites people to stay. The food is really good.

Chicken was fried in old oil. Very little pimento cheese on the chicken. When I asked for a refill, they said no and wanted to charge me $4 for another lemonade. Booth was dirty. Sticky. Table not cleaned.
The only positive, the food didn’t take 40 minutes like last time.

I like this place. I really enjoy the regular burger and the breakfast burger. I really really like the sweet tea! Sometimes it a little slow. And they forget the sauce which kinda stinks. But I really like the food. The limited time Dr. Pepper milkshake wasn’t bad. I would suggest.

Employees here are so unprofessional, first time I ordered an extra patty and paid for it but never received it, second time they put the fries upside down so I had to pick them from the bottom of the bag, third time the lady at the drive through, Kelsey, was impatient, rude and acting like I showed up at her house without notice. I never had any issues with Medical Center branch and I will just go there from this point forward.
