I normally don’t leave reviews, but this experience was disappointing. I ordered mozzarella sticks, cheddar poppers, and a pretzel twist. When I got home, I realized my cheddar poppers were missing, so I had to drive back to the Sonic location to get the item I already paid for. I was polite and simply explained what happened, but the response I received felt dismissive, and the way the situation was handled made me feel like I was being treated as an inconvenience. The employee who brought out the replacement order did not provide a receipt and had a condescending attitude. I understand majority of fast food workers hate their job because they don’t qualify for anything better but that doesn’t mean you get to treat customers poorly just because life isn’t and will not go the way you wanted it to go. When I got home and checked the cheddar poppers, three of them looked bad enough that I did not feel comfortable eating them and threw them away. This is especially concerning because food safety and proper handling matter. I am currently pregnant, and it’s upsetting to think that anyone could receive food that wasn’t prepared or checked properly. I wouldn’t doubt it if it was intentional as someone who has worked in fast food when I was a teenager and saw how coworkers handled the food. I understand mistakes happen, but customers deserve to be treated respectfully and receive food that is safe and made with care.
