This restaurant is awesome. I have been here several times (lunch and dinner) and have been impressed every time. The food is great, and there is a wide variety to try (vegetarian and non vegetarian). The service is also good. The staff is very friendly!
Oh my GOSH it was ALL SOOOO DELICIOUS!! Actually, exceptional!! I used to go to Clay Pitt, but since they Opened I come here. Today’s buffet was out of this world. If you don’t come eat here you’re missing out. They only use the freshest of ingredients. Nothing frozen everything fresh in

This place has roaches!!! Food was cold, Service with lacking, especially after being informed that they have roaches crawling up their wall and next to where clean silverware and water is set up.
Only response after being informed of roaches was “ We already fumigated” we will definitely not be back.

Restaurants loose their credibility when they go down in quality so quickly. I’m very disappointed with my recent experience at Clay Oven. And it’s sad because I actually liked them. Every once in a while we do their plates through “too good to go”. Not that we haven’t dined in there before. But these plates are quick and easy when you don’t feel like cooking typically in the middle of the week. They used to charge under 6 dollars but the price has now gone up to almost 10 dollars. They typically will include a couple of pieces of tandoori chicken, a curry chicken or butter chicken along with a small portion of chicken biryani all nicely packed inside a to go box. With that they will separately pack a naan in aluminum foil as well as a dessert like gulab jamun or kheer in a separate plastic container. All of that for 6 bucks was a steal. But even with the price going up, I figured why not. My wife and I typically share one of those orders and it’s usually enough food for the both of us.
First off, as soon as I walked in and showed my code on the app to the lady who greeted me, she was very confused with what I was trying to say. She acted like hearing it for the first time. I repeated saying I have a non veg meal please. They do these plates in vegetarian as well. She went to go start making a new plate for me. They typically charge you 24 hours before when you place the order. Yes I already paid for it yesterday even though it’s supposed to be for food that’s left back on that day. Anyway, another customer walked in and was waiting behind me in line. My server leaves my box on the buffet counter to come and talk to this new customer asking what he wanted. He said he was here for the same order as me. She asks him veg or non veg. He showed her his phone. She immediately has a look of frustration on her face. While all this is happening there are two other employees just sitting at one of the restaurant tables and looking at us talking amongst themselves. I mean you guys could probably come and help her coz she clearly could use some help. But they sure didn’t care. Anyway I get my box of food and returned to my car. After I got home I opened the box and there’s hardly any food inside. There’s some white rice along with a little bit of curry. There’s no naan. So I’m not sure how I’m supposed to eat the curry. But it’s literally less than half the quantity of what they used to serve back when it used to be less than 6 bucks. If you’re charging ppl a day before that tells me you know exactly how many ppl are coming to pick up these plates. Why not have them ready when they come to pick them up instead of acting like we’re talking to you in Russian. Also, why go down in quantity if you already jacked up the price. For that price I’d rather go somewhere else and get a full meal. Very disappointed and will not be returning.

I visited Clayoven Restaurant for lunch buffet today, and it was one of the worst Indian restaurant experiences I have ever had.
As for the food, it was clearly not fresh. The rice was dry, hard, and seemed overcooked or stale. There was no proper biryani rice available, and even the white rice was of very poor quality. The Butter Chicken tasted like it had been stored overnight and simply reheated before being served again at the buffet. Most of the food looked old and lacked freshness.
The buffet was poorly maintained, with several items either empty or running out. There were no proper buffet arrangements, and there were no desserts, sweets, or other standard buffet offerings available.
This was one of the worst food experiences I have had in my life, and I was charged nearly $20 for it. The food was not fresh, the restaurant was unclean, and the overall quality was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant based on my experience.
