I have given this location two separate chances, years apart, and had the exact same issue both times. For context, I've worked at multiple Subway locations in multiple states, so I'm very familiar with Subway's food preparation standards, product rotation, temperature requirements, and what fresh produce should look like before it's ever placed on the sandwich line. Both visits I ordered the same sandwich: Black Forest ham and turkey with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, extra onion, cucumbers, and mayonnaise. Both times I was served rotten tomatoes. This isn't a matter of personal preference or a tomato being slightly overripe. When tomatoes have gone bad, they're extremely soft, leak juice everywhere when sliced, and have a sour taste and smell. Anyone who has prepped tomatoes at Subway knows you can usually tell while coring and slicing them. Once that rotten tomato juice gets into the pan and onto the gloves, it contaminates everything it touches. At that point, the rest of the sandwich doesn't stand a chance because every bite tastes like spoiled tomato. My most recent visit made things even worse because the bread was stale and hard enough that it was difficult to eat. I couldn't even salvage the meat and vegetables onto fresh bread because the rotten tomato juice had already soaked into everything. It's incredibly disappointing that a restaurant where your food is assembled directly in front of you would knowingly serve produce in that condition. Customers don't discover the problem until they get home and take the first bite, and by then they've wasted both their money and their meal. This wasn't an isolated incident. It happened to me in 2022, and it happened again just a few weeks ago. That points to a recurring quality control issue, not a one-time mistake. Management needs to pay much closer attention to produce quality before it ever reaches the sandwich line because serving spoiled ingredients is unacceptable.

While me and my family was in Subway in Mountain City at 715pm on April 18th, I experienced the most unprofessional and disgust of service from the 2 ladies making the sandwich’s. One lady was just fusing from the beginning about not wanting to be there and then started sliding sandwich’s down the line and it was falling into the other food. After experiencing watching this person do this to every sub I asked her why she was so unprofessional about making my food. She responded back with no apology but an excuse of why she asked the way she did. I waited for an apology of any sort and got nothing. ABSOLUTELY, the last time I’ll ever go to this subway. My family was appalled. Disgusting service!

The 2 young gentlemen that took my order were so polite and professional. I had 4 footlongs and they smiled and talked like I only had one little order. Good jobs fellows. Keep the good atmosphere going!!
