Built inside a 1929 mansion that presumably once was financed by Al Capone, the restaurant serves a menu of traditional gourmet dishes including Brie en Croute, Blackened Salmon Oscar and Black Thai Duck. The mansion that houses the restaurant was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997 and still features the original escape hatches and underground tunnels that were used by Capone to transfer liquor during the Prohibition Era. In 2001, High Point received the "Best Gourmet Meal in Tennessee" award from "Tennessee" magazine.

- AAAdJun 27, 20263.0This place used to be a favorite have to visit. Not sure what has happened but have dined here twice over the last couple of weeks thinking it was a fluke. Second visit confirmed it. Definitely not what it used to be. Not sure if new chef or owners or if just changes but quality of food is now lacking. Steaks used to be top notch. Now they are under seasoned and neither visit was cooked correctly. Probably won’t be back. Definitely not a special trip like we would always make.

- MBMatthew BoboJun 17, 20264.0Wasn't the best time last night. Service was EXTREMELY slow. We were there for almost 2 hours.. when the main entrees came out they forgot one of the children's sides. They finally brought it out right before our dessert. Will definitely eat outside next time. There was a lady so loud and audacious laughing like a hyena! It startled everyone in the room everytime she decided to let out a laugh. I've been many times over the years, but last night was the worst visit I have had. And it was my birthday dinner too! Maybe next time.

We are soooo happy we celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary in such a wonderful environment; a warm and welcoming atmosphere - and with the BEST service - Page! She was so lovely and had the most perfect timing on our table!! I’ve done the job, and Page is absolutely fabulous - we will be requesting her specifically. Chef… YOU are phenomenal!!! Thank you!!
