  . This Lenny’s locationon Shelby drive and Riverdale is really going downhill. Today I called to place an order for a 15-inch Philly cheesesteak on white bread. I repeated my order twice because I assumed the young lady on the phone didn’t hear me clearly. Instead of asking me to repeat myself again, she hung up on me. Since I was already down the street, I decided to still give this location my business. When I arrived, another young lady took my order at the register. She was very sweet and professional, and I could tell by her voice that she was not the person I had spoken with on the phone. I asked if another young lady was working because someone had hung up on me. I then spoke with the employee who had answered the phone. When I asked if she was the one who hung up, she smiled and said yes because I had “gotten smart” with her. I explained that I had not gotten smart with her—I simply repeated my order because I was trying to make sure she heard it correctly. What bothered me most was her attitude and the fact that she seemed to think hanging up on a paying customer was acceptable. Employees never know who is on the other end of the phone. It could be a regular customer, a first-time customer, the owner, someone from corporate, or anyone else. Customers are what keep a business going, and treating them disrespectfully can quickly hurt a business’s reputation. A gentleman who I assumed was the manager asked what happened. I explained the situation, and he apologized. However, when he spoke with the employee near the food counter, I heard him say something along the lines of people getting smart with him all the time and he just lets it roll off. While I understand what he may have been trying to say, I felt like that minimized what happened. An employee intentionally hanging up on a customer and then smiling while admitting it should be addressed seriously. I am a business owner myself, so I understand that dealing with the public is not always easy. However, professionalism and customer service are still expected. If an employee feels a customer is being disrespectful, a manager should handle the situation—not the employee simply hanging up the phone. I have supported this location before, but after this experience, I am extremely disappointed. A business can have great food, but poor customer service will eventually drive customers away. This happen around maybe 4pm 8/21/26

  it was my first time ever eating at a Lenny’s location, i placed my order online, waited in line and told the lady in the front my name. She proceeds to point and say it’s right there, not giving very great directions of where “ right there “ was , which i thought the order on the screen above a rack with a random bag on it , that my order was coming up. i walk over and grab my bag and i look back to see her mugged and saying slick comments as if she was irritated that was i was slightly confused. Very unprofessional, unnecessary, and rude . Will not be returning.

  I have been to many Lenny’s and none have met my expectations. Until I came into this one on Winchester and Riverdale we were met with smiles, friendly faces and patience from the staff. Then came the food I usually don’t eat all of my food but today the bacon Philly cheesesteak was made to perfection. It was so good we tipped the whole crew. Thank you guys for your great service I will be coming back.

  Sub was made the way you would expect. Made quickly and was out less than 5 minutes. Of course was slow when I went. Employees were friendly and polite.
