Huey’s has been bringing Blues, Brews, & Burgers in Memphis since 1970. Perhaps the most unique characteristics of our locations are the graffiti walls, hometown feel and local live music. Our World Famous Huey burgers have been voted Best Burger in Memphis since 1984. Sundays at Huey’s are traditionally known for live music, including jazz, blues and even a little rock from local and regional groups. At the example of the late Thomas Boggs, Huey’s former owner, giving back to the community is one of our top priorities. The restaurant's atmosphere is pretty laid back no matter whether you're there during a rush or not. My recent visit on a Saturday afternoon was not much different. My only quam with it was the waitress who attended to my table didn't have a firm grip on her "allergy situation." As a patron no one wants to place an order while your nose is dripping! I couldn't help but wonder the whole time I was there. I questioned my food and drinks. My daughter ordered your standard cheeseburger and fries. Unfortunately, the bread was molded. And again, the staff was pleasant and apologetic. The food was remade. I still couldn't help but wonder. Its hard to hold the entire visit against the establishment itself because we're all human and we have "off" days. In this case I truly felt like this was one for them. Overall, Huey's has good burgers whether you like them cooked medium rare like me or well done like my daughter.

Our server was initially friendly but disappeared after taking our order and we didn't see him again until 10 minutes after our food had been delivered, prepared incorrectly. Employees were just sitting around at tables on their phones instead of refilling drinks etc. Normally our drinks get refilled before we even finish them we had to wait again another 10 minutes to flag someone down for refills. Not their best day.
