  I got a surf and turf burrito and it taste just like home!! I'm originally from San Diego and was so surprised to find a southern California taco shop here. All the salsas were delicious too. I enjoyed having the spicy carrots too. The guy who took my order was very friendly too.

  Update from 5 stars to 2: On my second visit to this taco shop on Friday, May 29, 2026, around noon. I encountered a frustrating experience with their advertised discount. The sign clearly states to leave a review and show it on your next visit for $10 off $30+, but the manager insisted it had to be done on the same visit, which makes no sense—how can I review food I haven’t eaten? The QR code didn’t work either, yet the manager stuck to his story until I refused to back down. Ultimately, he relented and gave me the $10 off as the sign promised, but the entire interaction showed poor customer service and a lack of clarity in their promotion. As for the food, the shrimp rice bowl and fried fish were good on my first visit, which is why I decided to come back. Unfortunately, the quality and portions were not the same this time. On my first visit, my shrimp bowl came with 8 shrimp. This time, it only had 6. For a menu item at the same price, the portion size should be consistent from visit to visit. The fried fish also tasted like it had been sitting for a while and was not freshly cooked like it was during my first visit. The bowls could also use more rice. On a good note: The young Caucasian male who took my order and brought my food out has great customer service and has a kind spirit. He will go far. Original review: I was traveling to Taconagas and decided to give Elena's a try. I parked to review the menu, placed my order online, waited the 15 minutes indicated for pickup, and then went through the drive thru. I was asked to pull forward and ended up waiting an additional 20 minutes. What was frustrating is that the restaurant was not busy, and my order was fairly simple: two shrimp rice bowls and a side of fried fish. The extra wait felt excessive given the circumstances. As for the food, the shrimp rice bowl and fried fish were both good and had decent flavor. My only complaint is that the bowls could have used more rice for the portion size. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but the wait time and pickup experience could definitely be improved.

  Use to be one of my favorite places to eat. People and restaurant is great, but thr food has become inconsistent. There have bee errors on my lsst 4 orders. Ordered chicken chips two separate time and they had steak on them, no chicken. Portion sizes are no longer consistent. A large order of carne asada fries use to too much to finish, now its more like a small portion in a large box, not filling at all. This is food is far too overpriced to be cutting portion sizes.
