  If I could give them a zero I would. My husband and I came in today to patronize a black owned business boy was I disappointed. Strike one a family was seating at a table and a man that works there ask told them how we’re going to be there because he’s trying to seat 8 people but no rush. No rush, yeah you rushing him. Strike two a lady was seated a table alone a lady ask her if she could scoot over so she can seat two people at her table. That’s definitely a no for me. Covid is still here as other infectious diseases and to seat other people in someone else’s space is too much. I didn’t realize they did community seating. Strike three the lady told us we could sit at a table where people standing in line, I asked if we could get a booth which 2 were available she said no. At that moment I decided I don’t have to eat here. Black people do better. I love the support black businesses but when things like this happens it makes me think twice.

  Well let me say this as a Black owned establishment I was totally disappointed on how the Manger approached a couple to ask them was they finished so he can accommodate another party of eight and also we asked for a booth and was shut downed, just didn't like how people can stand over you while you're eating also the Food didn't look appetizing, Won't come Back!!!

  I do like to support local businesses, and give back to the community. I also feel an obligation to give an honest review when I make them. I ordered my food at 9:46am, didn't get my food until 10:38am, with that being said, if you're crunching time I wouldn't suggest eating here. The service was not to par on other local businesses that I visit and review, they weren't rude and at the same time they weren't nice. The food was really good, I was expecting some flavor in it though, coming from a place with flava in the name. Overall, I could of given this lower stars, but there were some things that were par with other businesses. On my final note, they use Milos tea for their tea, and all the other drinks they were using were from bottles.

  To go order (catfish/grits and shrimp/grits) took 1 hour to receive food. This was after I complained to the manager. The food has always been great but it is absolutely insane that they are cooking food behind the counter on hot plates/small stove. Why do they not have a full kitchen with multiple cooks in the back?
