  September 6, 2025- well, somehow I failed to upload & review after that 9/6/2025- never fear, now its here! For me, well worth your stop- just be ready for a different experience. It's a local fave & there will be a wait. If you want cookie-cutter-breakfast joint, this ain't it! Food: out of this world kind of good!!! Chefs kiss on all of our breakfast choices- prepared well & flavors were awesome. Like sitting @ grandmas house. The staff worked hard, prepared as quickly as possible, & greeted everyone warmly amidst the chaos of a packed house. They certainly had a great rhythm & flow. If I might say, they were bustin' ass the day we were there- I suspect its a daily occurrence based on quality of food! A packed house that's certain. Dining area small with limited seating. Everyone waits in line for an open seat. What does one do? Share a table with strangers & enjoy great conversations & getting to know them. Atmosphere, nothing fancy- small dining area that abounds with the hum of people who are enjoying their food. The focus is the food, not the decor which is fine by me! Conversations, smiles & lots of food.

  If I could give them a zero I would. My husband and I came in today to patronize a black owned business boy was I disappointed. Strike one a family was seating at a table and a man that works there ask told them how we’re going to be there because he’s trying to seat 8 people but no rush. No rush, yeah you rushing him. Strike two a lady was seated a table alone a lady ask her if she could scoot over so she can seat two people at her table. That’s definitely a no for me. Covid is still here as other infectious diseases and to seat other people in someone else’s space is too much. I didn’t realize they did community seating. Strike three the lady told us we could sit at a table where people standing in line, I asked if we could get a booth which 2 were available she said no. At that moment I decided I don’t have to eat here. Black people do better. I love the support black businesses but when things like this happens it makes me think twice.

  I do like to support local businesses, and give back to the community. I also feel an obligation to give an honest review when I make them. I ordered my food at 9:46am, didn't get my food until 10:38am, with that being said, if you're crunching time I wouldn't suggest eating here. The service was not to par on other local businesses that I visit and review, they weren't rude and at the same time they weren't nice. The food was really good, I was expecting some flavor in it though, coming from a place with flava in the name. Overall, I could of given this lower stars, but there were some things that were par with other businesses. On my final note, they use Milos tea for their tea, and all the other drinks they were using were from bottles.
