  I noticed that Food Lion prices seems to be higher than Food City, and Food City has better deals than Food Lion but Walmart is cheaper than both grocery stores period. So if you're trying to save money then don't shop at Food Lion based on my experience.

  My husband and I (ages 54 and 48) were just in this store and we were asked by a very tall blonde check out chick said we both had to show our IDs for my husband to purchase a 6 pack of beer (he was the one purchasing). I didn’t even bring my wallet bc he drove us. . So we just walked out and left all our groceries there. We have never once ever been asked to both show our IDs at any store. I get if we were at a bar. But a grocery store? What happens when someone has their 18 year old daughter with them on a grocery run?
