  Went through the drive thru for just a prezel and water. I took off the lid for a drink and oh my the smell was awful. Either the ice machine is really nasty of the water dispenser is. I tossed the entire cup. Just worried now someone is going to get really sick.

  It's disappointing everytime we come here. It took 10 mins and me pressing the button twice before we even had our order taken. With no other cars in the in drive thru or parking lot. We only ordered 3 drinks and it took another 10mins for them to come out with them. The drinks were not labeled so we had to figure out which was which because when I asked the person bringing them out they walked away before letting me finish asking about the drinks. We ordered 2 special fall sodas which state they are to include sweet cream and neither had the sweet cream added. Ice was already melting in the drinks. We won't be back to this location.

  Went to the stall 4 to order and the person taking our order couldn’t hear at all. We’ve had to repeat our order several times and still didn’t put it on the screen. Tried to order a jr bacon cheesburger with fries and didn’t even get it. She put it on the screen but we didn’t want 2 burgers so she cancelled the meal out entirely. This location is so frustrating, won’t be back.

  Sometimes they make u wait forever before you can get an answer to order but the food comes quickly even if it not completely right

  Absolutely unacceptable experience at the Sonic on Shad Road in Knoxville tonight. We placed and PAID for our order through the Sonic app. When we arrived, we were told they were short-staffed and instructed to get in the drive-thru line. We did exactly what we were told and then sat in that line for 40 MINUTES. After finally reaching the window, instead of receiving our food, an apology, or even the slightest attempt to help, we were met with a snarky and completely dismissive attitude and told, essentially, “There’s nothing I can do. You’ll have to deal with the app for a refund.” Here’s the problem: there is no clear option in the app to request a refund. So Sonic was able to take our money immediately, waste 40 minutes of our time, provide us with NOTHING we paid for, and then send us away with no refund and no resolution. Being short-staffed is understandable. Treating paying customers disrespectfully and refusing to take any responsibility for an order your location accepted and was paid for is NOT. I will absolutely be contacting Sonic corporate regarding this experience. At the end of the night, we lost both our time and our money, and not one person at this location seemed concerned enough to even offer a sincere apology. Sonic management: this is not how you treat customers. If your location cannot fulfill prepaid mobile orders, you should not be accepting them. And if something goes wrong, your employees should be empowered—or at the very least willing—to help customers find a resolution instead of dismissing them at the window after a 40-minute wait. Completely unacceptable. I would strongly caution anyone against placing a mobile order at this location.
