  We stopped at Shoney's on N. Broadway for breakfast and went with a classic combination of eggs, bacon, and pancakes. The pancakes were fluffy with a lightly crisp edge, and the bacon was cooked just right. The portions were filling without feeling excessive, and the familiar diner-style atmosphere made it a comfortable place to start the day. Nothing complicated—just a satisfying breakfast.

  I couldn't figure out why whenever I went to the bar my eyes started watering and I couldn't help fron sneezing turns out you can bring animals to eat with you here. Ewww

  I had a bit of a dilemma this morning when my vehicle was being serviced for new brakes just down the street. The shop didn't have a customer waiting room, so I decided to walk over to Shoney’s—no small task given that I’m currently awaiting a knee replacement! ​When I walked in, I explained my situation to Samantha, letting her know I just needed a place to hang out while I waited, and that I’d be buying coffee and likely staying for lunch. Not wanting to hog a booth for an extended period, I asked her to just sit me wherever worked best for them. ​Hats off to Samantha that actually waited on me as well for being so understanding, welcoming, and accommodating! Give her a raise!! ​I ended up getting the lunch buffet, and honestly, having not been to a Shoney’s in over 30 years, I was thoroughly impressed by how good the food was—especially the fish. Great hospitality and surprising quality. I’m very grateful for the great experience!

  Food on food bar was old..stuffing..fried chicken was too salty..no one was friendly
