  This place is so hit or miss. I've had a couple really good meals, but every other time the food is just not good at all. My last visit I had a Greek salad that was horrible. It was iceberg lettuce with flavorless dressing and covered in ham. Yuck. One of the people I was eating with found hair in her food. I'll continue to begrudgingly come here when others make me, but I won't ever choose or suggest it.

  My name is Jennifer Flynn and we come to Jonesboro or Elizabethton a couple times a month. We absolutely love your restaurant! This evening we were a little disappointed because the manager walked around the restaurant several times saying hello to customers and asking about their meal and visit. He walked by our table several times and not once did he speak to us. I was very disappointed in that. The only other thing I’d like to mention, is my cucumber on my salad had a very bitter taste. Please don’t let that be a horrible thing because it did not make me enjoy my grilled chicken salad any less, it was still truly delicious!! Thank you for having such an amazing restaurant and thank you for hiring Grace, she was very awesome and made our evening one to truly enjoy!

  The food was great and the staff were exceptional. The water and the ice that is in the soda however ruined everything. I couldn’t get more than two tiny sips down which made it extremely hard to enjoy dinner, not to mention dying of thirst. Although they have a great menu and I would like to try again, I won’t because of the water and ice issue. It was beyond disgusting.

  We played music here, and the staff treated us incredibly well. The food was delicious and the help we had setting up was everything you could hope for! Thank you for hosting Strangers Once, we look forward to coming back.

  The Black Olive has amazing food, we are never disappointed with anything on the menu. It is a great spot for a date night as well, excellent food and good drinks. We've dined in and have done curbside pick up and both times the food did not disappoint. Curbside our food was HOT and fresh.
