  Screws up your order all the time. Can’t even order a SALAD from PANERA BREAD for delivery because it doesn’t exist on the online order menu…. Are salads not half the menu? Am I going insane?! And I cant call and place one for delivery? What is the point of delivery service if 1/3 of your menu is featured? Not to mention this place is always dirty.

  I used to be a regular at Panera Bread when they first opened up in Newport News Va., many years ago. Back then they earned 5 stars. The 5 stars held in all the Panera Breads throughout the yrs. About 8 yrs ago I noticed the French Onion soup got a lesser value cheese. After the pandemic the portion got smaller, the prices stayed high. Now I live 20 miles from the JC location and so I treat myself to a bagel, cream cheese and coffee for breakfast. I don't know, but when did a bagel turn into a pastry (not because there was sugar on top)? I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel. It was fluffy, half baked and greasy. The taste was off from what it used to be. It had sesame seeds, poppy seeds stuck to the bottom and tasted slightly after onion. One way of losing customers is when consistency is gone, the quality goes down, product is shrinking and prices go up. One by one you lose customers. My 3 stars about service today: the young man was friendly and conscientious, helped the customer in front of me. So the lady (seemed like she was the manager) stepped in. She could use a refresher course in friendliness. Speed is not everything. I will look for a different place to get my bagel and coffee.

  My first time coming here and The Food was great and the service was as well, but the mens restroom was a little filthy Other then that everything was great

  When did yall stop serving "nice and neat"? I picked Pinera bread for Mother's Day and we got sticky paper and bread bowls barely dug out. We were really disappointed

  Last three times I went to JC Panera they got the order wrong and the coffee was cold. I like the fuji apple salad which has come out OK. But my wife's sandwich has been off every time. Once no chicken when chicken was ordered. Once a salad instead of the sandwich. Also the staff was not very friendly when asked redo the order. I had cold coffee and both half n half containers were bone dry. And prices are not cheap - so you'd think you would get the best food and happy staff.
