I ordered from drive thru a breakfast burrito, and pancakes for my daughter. The food was cold. Couldn't stop and go back because I was running late.

I go to this McDonald’s because it’s convenient, but the poor service has gotten me to seriously consider another location or just to say forget McDonald’s altogether. Customer service is important and if you can’t do that right, then you will not survive. Unfortunately, this location will not last long because of the poor service which starts at the top. The Yelp review at this location is 1.8 star. What does that tell you? Today I go through and order 4 McDoubles, a basket of fries, and a Coke Zero. We were in a hurry and grabbing a quick bite. I placed my order on the app and when I got to the speaker, I was told to wait. 5 minutes later the kid comes back, I give him the code? And we’re told to go to the second window. We do and are handed the coke and fries (which weren’t fresh) and told to pull up. I asked how long on the burgers and he said 3-4 minutes. After pulling up and waiting nearly ten minutes, I back up to the window, which is wide open. No employee in sight. After a moment a girl walks by and i say “excuse me, I’m still waiting on my food”. She asks what order and I tell her. She says they’re making it and then walks away. By this time my fries are even colder. The first kid comes back and hands me my food. I politely ask him to replace the fries, as by this time they’re cold. He says I’ll have to pay for another order. Seriously he said that. I again was polite and asked him to do better since they were cold. He smarted off and told me I could talk to his manager to which I agreed. A moment later the same girl from earlier appeared and I politely told her what was going on. She refused to replace the fries and said “I would have eaten the fries already”. Um… no. There’s no reason I would get my fries first, they be already lukewarm, and then have to wait for my burgers and the fries get worse. I asked this girl her name and she said Rachel. I told her I’d be calling the franchise owner tomorrow, she shrugged and literally said “go ahead, I don’t care”. This location is abysmal and the employees don’t care what they serve, what they look like, or what they say. They look like they don’t have any pride in their appearance and speak the same way. This McDonald’s may be the worse I’ve been too. A couple of weeks ago the morning manager, Melissa, caught attitude over replacing bad food. So the managers are bad, the employees don’t care, and it all comes from the top. This location needs to change because the next issue I have, I won’t be back. Period. I’m calling the franchise owners tomorrow and if they don’t make necessary steps to correct this store and let these people go, this will not be my last review and won’t be the only place I leave it. Do better. Be better. Stop thinking the world owes you. And if working at McDonald’s is the best you can achieve, so be it. Just don’t take it out on people who expect good service and decent food.

We visited the McDonald’s on Browns Mill Road and ordered four burgers and a basket of fries. When we got to the drive-thru window, we were greeted by a young man with a mullet and glasses. He handed us our fries and told us to pull forward because our burgers would be ready in about 3–4 minutes. After waiting around 10 minutes, we decided to pull back up to the window. The window was wide open, but there were no employees in sight. Eventually, a manager named Rachel came to the window. We asked for an update on our food, and she asked what our order was, even though we were the only vehicle in the drive-thru and there were no customers inside at the counter. After we explained our order, we were told our food would be out shortly. We stayed at the window, and eventually the same employee brought us our burgers. By that point, the fries we had been given earlier were completely cold. We politely asked if our fries could be replaced since they had been sitting for so long while we waited on the burgers. The employee told us they could not be replaced unless we paid for another order. We then asked to speak with the manager again. Rachel returned with an attitude and immediately stated that we had already been given our fries. Once we were finally able to explain the situation, she said she would not replace them but would only “top them off” with fresh fries if we gave the old fries back. She also told us that she would have just eaten the fries while waiting for the burgers. That response completely missed the point. Customers should not have to eat part of their order while waiting for the rest of it just to avoid receiving cold food. When we told her we would be contacting corporate, her response was simply, “Okay, I don’t care.” This is unfortunately not the first issue we’ve had at this location. We continue to visit because it is only a couple of minutes from our house and is very convenient, but the service continues to be disappointing. Long waits happen, and mistakes happen, but poor customer service and dismissive attitudes from management are much harder to overlook. I hope ownership and upper management take these complaints seriously and work on improving both service and customer relations at this location.
