- CBCody BishopSep 29, 20263.0Look, I love Chick-Fil-A as much as the next guy. Their food has never been bad. However, the reason I don't visit them is because their service (while very polite) is always exceptionally slow. We waited at the front of the line for our food for a solid 5 minutes, minimum, the other day (not counting the wait leading up to the front of the line). I can overlook that though, 5 minutes isn't anything massive, it's just a little uncomfortable when you have a child in the back asking when we're going to leave. The issue that I ran into is that after driving half an hour back home and digging into the delicious food, I took a drank of my Coca-Cola only to be met with what I'm dubbing "the essence of bitter." This could have been a witch's first practice brew of the season for all I know. Perhaps it was a new soda flavor, Coke With a Hint of Poison™; or maybe, just maybe, it could have simply been Diet Coke. The world will never know. What I do know is that it was awful and made my food taste awful, so I tried my wife's Coca-Cola only to be met with the same unpleasant experience. It is JUST a coke, so it isn't a big deal, but nowadays a coke will run you $3, so we wasted $6 on poisonous soda that were poured down the drain for safety. If you add that to the wait, I feel like that puts the rating at a comfortable 3/5. Perhaps the next visit will be better.

I did drivethrough and was asked if I wanted it hot or iced, and then he asked if I wanted cream and sugar..I assumed he meant "extra" cream and sugar on the side?? Whatever black terrible coffee I got is not what I wanted. I wanted what was in the picture/advertisement. If saying "no" to cream and sugar means you don't get the marshmallow cream and stuff, then your drivethrough guys need to be asking "do you want to make any modifications to that" ..I had to put McDonald's sugar packets that I had in my car into this black tasting coffee. The chicken waffle sandwich is amazing and I hope it doesn't leave the menu.
