  So look, I love Whataburger. We’ve waited for 20 years for it to come to Tennessee (we’re from Texas). One of the things I love most about Whataburger is that it’s open 24/7. When you need a place to go late, it’s always there. And yet…for some reason…this one isn’t. They don’t even leave the dining room open until they ARE closed. The hours aren’t accurately reflected in map apps, so you never really know if they’re going to be open. Crazy thing is, they start serving breakfast at 11pm…and then close a couple hours later. Can’t fathom that helps with food costs or the overall logic of the all-night breakfast model. On top of all that, the service at this one leaves much to be desired. I get it. It’s fast food (or should be…not so much at this location). Turnover is high and it’s difficult to attract hard workers. But here’s the deal: this isn’t BK or Wendy’s or MacDonald’s or Jack in the Box or Taco Bell. It’s Whataburger. It’s iconic. It’s TEXAS incarnate. There are three iconic fast food chains (McDonald’s doesn’t really count): Chick-fil-A, In-n-Out, and Whataburger. CFA has a great product and great culture. In-n-Out has a solid product and solid culture. Whataburger has a superior product…but the culture is in the toilet. There are some great employees, even at this one. But if Whataburger doesn’t get its act together, it’ll just be another Hardee’s or Jack in the Box where you expect the employees to do as little work as possible and to look at you like an idiot when you ask them to actually give you what you paid for. Do better Whataburger.

  1 hour drive in line at 1:30 in the morning. Absolute gridlock, only 13 cars in the line and they’re getting through one every 10 minutes. Service Disaster!!!

  Perla is amazing and should be at least the employee of the month if not the manager .. she would be a great guest ambassador for your company

  I got the burger and fries to go. I had to be somewhere or would of returned to the location. The Burgers where so salty, that salt is all you could taste! Its like they dumped half the shaker on the burger. I like salt alot so these where drenched in salt for me not to like them. I couldn't eat the burger. I will say the burger was cooked fresh. No complaints on freshness. I don't think I will return to try a second time.

  Patricia helped me out over the phone as I was coming through late heading to Huntsville! Thank you and your manager for making my terrrible travel day quite a bit better! You guys rock! The burger was fresh and delicious and they were so kind even with me coming in just before closing.
