Our server Shannon was amazing! Attentive, so personable and took awesome care of us. Ellen / Manager introduced herself and shared the history of the restaurant. Just an amazing experience. 10 stars!

As a Franklin local, I really wanted this place to work. It’s convenient, the staff are friendly, and I kept hoping it’d click. After multiple efforts spaced 6+ months apart, it continues to disappoint.. The fish is the dealbreaker. The yellowtail came out a dull grey — not the color fresh fish should ever be — and most of the “fresh” sushi was odd-looking, smelled off, low quality, and honestly close to inedible. The service tried hard and was genuinely pleasant, so I don’t fault them for that. But no amount of good service fixes fish that looks like that. The best thing on our table? The chicken tenders we ordered for our toddlers. I will NEVER be returning. Get it sorted, or shut it down.

I’m soooo confused by all the “food was amazing, but the service sucked” reviews because our experience has been almost the exact opposite, the service isn’t great, but the FOOD is the reason we will never return. The service here has always been pretty bad, but they’re busy, the servers are young, and as a former server myself, I tend to cut them some slack. There’s usually support staff walking around, so if you need something, someone will eventually help you. The food quality, however, is a different story. When this place first opened, we were excited to have what was supposed to be good sushi nearby, and we liked that our kids would actually eat the kids meals. Then we came for happy hour one evening and ordered the crispy tuna rice. The tuna arrived literally GRAY. I wouldn’t touch it because it visibly looked bad, but my husband tried a bite and nearly vomited at the table. We sent it back, they apologized, and the replacement came out looking like a normal color, but by that point our appetites were ruined. We didn’t return for probably a year. Tonight, we were in Cool Springs and decided to give it another chance. The first couple of plates were okay. We ordered the crispy tuna rice again; this time it wasn’t gray, but it still didn’t taste particularly fresh. We ate it anyway. Then our roll from the happy hour menu arrived, I can’t remember the name, but it had a garlic chip on top. The yellowtail was, once again, GRAY. I tried it and it was unbelievably fishy. My husband immediately agreed. At this point, I genuinely don’t understand how there aren’t more reviews mentioning the fish quality. One experience could be a fluke. Twice, a year apart, with visibly questionable raw fish? No. We’re done giving this place chances and will never return. I actually may never eat sushi again…Japan, California, anywhere. This place may have ruined it for me. I would describe this place as a great atmosphere with mediocre “Tennessee sushi” with high chance of food poisoning.

We had a fantastic dinner at Blue Sushi Sake Grill in Franklin! Our server, Val, was absolutely wonderful—warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. She recommended drinks and sushi rolls, and everything she suggested was excellent. She truly made the evening special for both my daughter and me. I wish every restaurant had someone as thoughtful and helpful as Val. Thank you for making our dinner such a great experience!

Came at 330 8/8/26 as a party of 3. Was told to wait while they clean a table , meanwhile another family of 3 walked in and were seated immediately. Asked if we could sit in a booth by the godzilla. Was told they were reserved for a large party. Once seated in a booth by the door, a couple walked in and was seated where we had asked to be seated and the another couple in the other booth.???? The black linen napkins were dirty with food and covered in lint. Ordered 1/2 tea was told you don't carry sweet tea. The young man with glasses in white polo who was the hostess, was unfriendly, not welcoming. When we expressed our frustration he said "oh", that it just "Oh" no offer to make anything right. I wouldnt keep him as the 1rst person your customers interact with. I had high hopes for a great sushi place.
