Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Our first visit to Whataburger was a win! I purchased a Whataburger junior which was plenty for me, while my husband order the Whataburger. We will go back for sure.
It’s located right off the interstate with easy access. It’s a perfect location for travelers. Quick service too!

I ordered on the app for dine in before driving there. It should’ve been ready when I got there, but I stood at the counter for 7 minutes without even being acknowledged. Any employees scurrying around were trying to fix two orders in front of me. I finally had to loudly say “excuse me” to get the manager to actually stop and even notice me there. I told her that I had an online order for dine in, so she gave me the number and I found a seat.
Twenty minutes later, I finally got my food, which was a bunless double burger. I had one burger patty and some sad lettuce and tomato. It did taste good (I avoided the lettuce and tomatoes), but it would’ve been nice to actually get my correct order. I didn’t even want to bring it up because I didn’t have another twenty minutes to wait on another patty.
It’s a very disappointing Whataburger. Not at all like others I’ve been to.

I've been here numerous times, from opening week, and I'm always optimistic. The food's good and a decent value, but I'm always left with the impression that it's the staff's first week on the job. That was understandable opening week, but after several months the slow service, confused responses, and apparent lack of familiarity with their own menu does not inspire confidence. Hard to trust them with a more complicated order when they don't even know their own combo numbers.
They've always been very polite, though, and everything seems clean.

We got to stop in our first tyme in East Ridge coming off a trip, Sunday. For the restaurant to not be busy at all it was service poor. We discounted to attitudes of the workers as there was a truck delivery for the store blocking drive thru and a door dasher upset with the restaurant. When I spoke to the cashier she straight had no hospitality. So I just stopped talking let my husband order. Food was great, but we had to get it to go. Today 7/1, we went in and looked over the menu although we knew it was gonna be the melt and the Whataburger classic burger 2 malts 2 drinks. And this tyme we would get to eat in. But we just stood there. After several minutes someone from the back yelled Welcome to Whataburger so I thought it was an alert that someone at the front counter. But it was for an employee that just came in, said nothing, I get it she's not clocked in. MORE minutes later that same cashier from Sunday walked out went and fixed a drink, and walked back passed us with her drink, no word. So we waited to see if she was coming back and she didnt. So we left. This was disappointing. I usually have advice and a better rating. But something as simple as an acknowledgement is basic, i know yall can do better. Well tyme for us to eat. Where they said hello as soon as we arrived, and wasnt invisible.

I went to this whataburger location not too long ago with my girlfriend and initially, we didn’t get our food. When we came back up to the counter to ask about the food, Heaven got us squared right away and threw in brownies with our food. Would definitely go again.
