The host is the sweetest and our server Amanda is amazing. We ordered the Monterey chicken and ribs, the chicken was cooked over a flame adding so much flavor and the green beans were cooked perfectly. The ribs were moist and covered in bbq and was the best bbq in the area. Definitely would recommend
Great food and even better atmosphere!! Traveled to the area from out of state and we stopped here for dinner. All of the staff were welcoming and made us feel at home. The warm dinner rolls were delicious and we all enjoyed our meals. The pulled pork and 1/2 chicken were great!! I wish we would have gone here earlier in the week, as we would have gone back a second time.
My children and I decided to meet my parents for a late lunch at Taste of Dandridge today. While we were waiting for my parents to arrive, my 6- and 7-year-olds asked if they could be in the booth next to our table so they could watch out the windows for their grandparents.
A man approached me and said, “Ma’am, can you get your kids?”
I honestly couldn’t tell if he was joking because my children were simply excited to see their grandparents and were not being loud or disruptive - they were doing nothing wrong. That entire side of the restaurant was empty.
I told him I couldn’t tell if he was joking. He responded, “I’m not. You’re letting your kids run all over everything.”
I immediately called my kids back to our table and had them sit with me.
As I was trying to process what had just happened, my parents arrived. I told my mother that I no longer wanted to eat there and explained what had happened. She confronted the man, who complained that he now had to clean the window. I guess a few fingerprints were left behind. My mother stood up for my children, and his response was simply, “Bye.”
My children are very well-mannered and respectful. If they had been disruptive or behaving inappropriately, I would absolutely own that, apologize, and make sure it didn’t happen again. But there is a difference between correcting children’s behavior and making them feel unwelcome for simply being children.
We’re incredibly disappointed by THE OWNER today and will not be returning to Taste of Dandridge. I will not allow my children to feel belittled for being excited, curious kids.
And, in a little bit of irony, we made it about three minutes at Ruby Tuesday before our waitress complimented my 6-year-old on her manners.

We went here for dinner on a Saturday night. I had a half slab of pork ribs which were very good. My wife had the fried catfish which was outstanding (I had a taste). Dinners came with two sides. The menu is basic American fare: steak, ribs, chicken, burgers, etc. They do not serve alcohol, but you can BYOB. Price was about $60 with soft drinks, dinner, tax, and tip. I think that's reasonable in July 2026. Service was very good - our waitress was great. It's not a fancy place and there's a bit of a 1970s look to it, but well worth a visit.

Heard about this place and had to give it a try. Went on prime rib night and it was awesome. The prime rib melted in your mouth. Absolutely cooked to perfection. Owner made the rounds to each table to see how everyone was doing. Phenomenal waitress Rachel was so attentive. You can tell there are lot of regulars because of the food and service. Actually read a review that complained about the size of the salad croutons. While they are large, they are made from scratch and melt in your mouth. Not big stale ones which would be an issue. You definitely have to try this place if you are anywhere nearby.
