The workers were nice. My breakfast was hot and fresh. The coffee tasted great.

Haven’t been to McDonald’s in forever because I stopped eating fast food. Today I was in the mood for a Diet Coke so I drove through the window. Line was moving REALLY slowly but when I finally got up to the window, the girl taking my order sounded completely disinterested. No “hello and welcome to McDonald’s,” no greeting whatsoever other than “is this for a mobile app?” When I said no, she said “what can I get you?” I said “I’d just like a Diet Coke please.” After about a 10 second pause she said “is that it?” I said yes. Then she asked if I wanted to round up to support the Ronald McDonald’s house. My total was $2.18 and they would’ve rounded it up to $3! I said “not today thank you.” Then,….silence. No total, no “please drive around”. Just silence. When I got up to the window to pick up my drink, an arm came flying out the window with my drink in hand. A young blonde girl with a pony tail stood with her back to me not even acknowledging my presence. When I took the drink, I said “thank you very much.” She never even looked my way, just closed the window and went about her business. I remember a time when this McDonald’s was owned by the Wolfe family and they took great pride in offering fantastic, friendly customer service. This was about as rude an experience as I could have had. They obviously didn’t care about my business since I wasn’t driving a minivan full of kids and ordering $100 worth of happy meals. Between no greeting, rudeness that I was ONLY getting a Diet Coke and not donating .82 cents to the Ronald McDonald house to not even looking me in the eyes and saying “Thank you. Please come again” or “have a nice day,” or anything. Just back turned, arm hanging out the window, I will not be going back. I’ll just pay double price for a Diet Coke at a convenience store where they are happy to have my business. I know they’re not Chic-Fil-A, but a little courtesy and kindness takes 3 seconds and it earns repeat business. This one just lost mine!

The woman with blonde hair and the man displayed a lack of courtesy when I visited to purchase a 10-piece nugget and a fish sandwich. The individual working at the cash register was impolite, hurried my order, and responded with hostility when I inquired about my order. After asserting that my order was correct, he rolled his eyes. Upon payment, he did not provide me with a receipt, instead, he tossed it in my direction. The nuggets were cold and the fish sandwich was clearly not fresh, indicating that it had been sitting out for some time. When I attempted to enter the establishment at 10:20 pm, I found the doors locked. Despite calling the store six times with no answer, the employees were visible inside, conversing and laughing while claiming to be closed. It was only 40 minutes before closing time. I strongly advise against visiting this establishment. For McDonald's in Columbia, I recommend going to Bear Creek instead.
