  Stopped in during our road trip for breakfast. It has been years since eating at a Shoneys so we decided to stop. Ordered the pancake breakfast while the wife had the buffet. Noticed the restaurant was a little understaffed along with a help wanted sign out front. Inside the worker's area are papered with signs for the workers to follow. Many of us who have worked for a toxic manager can empathize with these employees. Our server did an excellent job checking on us and keeping our needs fulfilled. She had an upbeat attitude with her job, despite her working conditions. I noticed the signs near the register with fees for using credit and to go box takeout as well. So the manager knows no bounds with their signage.

  The waitress today was very kind and made sure we were tended to. We had questions about food items missing from the usual breakfast bar and the manager came to speak with us as we were checking out. He was great to talk to and took time to explain the situation which left us with a good reason to keep coming back (as we have for many years). Thank you, Calvin, for being professional and being easy to talk to.

  I have ate at Shoney's for 65 years I can tell you for sure it's not as good as it used to be. It's too high and then the poor waitresses want a tip. The food quality is not there anymore. Just like everywhere else I guess. Less for more money. Lower the quality of the food because it's cheaper to increase your profit margin but then you run all the customers off with the low quality food. At one time getting to eat at Shoney's was exciting a good place to eat. Now I'd rather go to McDonald's also have you ever noticed when you go to the buffet they start messing with the food right in front of you about every time.

  The burger was not good, somewhat cold and sort of messily put together. The salad bar options looked fair.

  My family and I have tried this place twice for dinner. Both times we found things on the bar that had gone bad. One time we went without kids and this time with kids. Even the kids wouldn't eat most of the food. It's was not visually appealing. The best thing I are was the mashed potatoes, which are hard to mess up. We spent 76$ plus tip for 4 people to eat enough to fill one person up. I would say the salad was good, but my son's dressing had gone bad. We will never eat here again!
