Aaron from Brewhaus suggested trying this restaurant and it was an absolute delight! An unique dining experience and a nice way to try a little bit of everything with some fantastic flavors. Ian was our server and he was hilarious and attentive. 11/10 no notes. The ramen was great. We also tried several of the yakitori skewers and everything had a fantastic flavor and great texture. The Northwest hand roll was out absolute favorite. If we find ourselves in Chattanooga again, we will absolutely be stopping here. ❤️

We had an AMAZING dinner at Torikaya, immediately at the top of our list of Chattanooga restaurants! Our server Arturo was very helpful and informed, but also gave us plenty of space to chat without interruption which is key. We loved him. The menu is fantastic and we loved everything we tried on our first visit. We had seaweed salad, salmon hand rolls, the pez limon roll, wagyu beef and tuna skewer, scallops, quail, bone marrow... amazing variety of flavor profiles, and every one fantastic. Much of the offerings are small bites / plates, however your server should be excellent at making sure you know what you are getting. We didn't even make it to the ramen yet, but will next time! The staff in general is incredibly friendly and welcoming, the food comes out at a great pace from an excellent kitchen team - rave reviews from these two foodies! You MUST go!

My partner and I came in for an anniversary date night and it was a great experience. The best service we have ever had! Our server Colby was absolutely spectacular and super helpful. We were very confused and clueless by the menu, but he explained everything and gave great recommendations. The portions were very small given the price but I guess that’s just what you get at fancy restaurants. Throughout it all though Colby kept checking in on us and telling us what was what. Then check out time rolled around and he suggested this plum sweet wine that was probably the best thing I’ve ever had in the way of wine. On top of that, he surprised us with a dessert on the house to celebrate our anniversary! It was the most thoughtful and sweet things a server has ever done. He made the experience, I don’t think I’d be writing such a good review if it weren’t for Colby. If you plan on eating at Torikaya, you better hope Colby is your server!

Been here a few times now, and have tried several things. The highlight for me is the ribs. I dream about them. If you go, get the ribs and the wasabi mashed potatoes. The yakitori skewers are very small, bite-sized portions, but the ones I've had so far have been fantastic. Tonight they had dry aged duck as a special, and I'm sad I didn't try it. I had the fried rice on my last visit, but didn't much care for it (so I got ribs to make up for it). Tonight I tried the cornbread, which was good, and definitely shareable. It comes with an interesting flavor of butter. Great atmosphere, and this is one of the few places where my bartender has actually poured my first round of sake for me, which is apparently Japanese etiquette. Service has been superb on every visit so far. This is a great date-night spot, and the bar is more than accommodating for loners like myself. There will be many more visits in my future.

My best friend lives in Nashville, and I live in Atlanta. Once a month, we meet halfway in Chattanooga for lunch, and this month we chose your restaurant. We both have a real appreciation for sushi and Japanese cuisine, and I'm happy to say our visit exceeded our expectations. Our server, Rebecca, was outstanding. She took the time to learn what we enjoyed and guided us toward some of the most vibrant and beautifully crafted dishes on the menu. She also made excellent recommendations for our children, who thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well. Everything we ordered was exceptional, and we left completely satisfied not just with the food, but with the entire experience. Thank you to Rebecca and the rest of your team for making our monthly trip one to remember. You made the drive more than worthwhile, and we look forward to returning on a future visit to Chattanooga.
