  Havnt been to Shoney's in years but it was so good, better than i remember.

  Sitting at your establishment literally as I write this review. I love Shoneys. I go to the Lenoir City and Knoxville Henley Street a lot. Both locations are clean, smell clean, bathrooms are clean. Food is delicious and hot and fresh. Immediately upon entering this building, I smell mold and mildew. I go the ladies room. It's even worse in there and in disrepair. The mirror looks like it came out of a dump. I go to the buffet. Oh my 😞 old dried up food. Not exaggerating. It was far from fresh. It was visibly old. I picked the few things that looked reasonably fresh. Which wasn't much. Whole there a family walked out and chose not to eat because of what the buffet looked like. I commented, it's because the food looks old. The lady at the register looked very displeased with my comments. One of the servers gave me the deer in the headlights look, because she knew I was right, but verbally rambled something about we change it every so often. I also took note that there seems to be only one person in the kitchen that I can visibly see a really young man with long bushy hair that should have been put up and is not. With the exception of the young man who waited on me, who had a variant congenial enthusiastic attitude. The general feeling among the rest of the staff is lackluster, though that changed a little as they refreshed the bar after I said something, after the family walked out and customers started coming in. Pretty sure this restaurant is part of the chain of 13 in East TN that is employee owned. The other locations I've been to have been top notch and busy. Clearly there is a problem at this location. The Google reviews and rash of bad health inspections would also back up there is a problem here. 4.0 Google score is on restaurant terms very bad.

  Wow! A blast from the past blended well that the younger generations won't notice and the GenXers and older will love! Excellent Food and Service from the staff! Truly enjoyed.
