  Don’t buy your meat from Food Lion! Today (June 21), we bought pork chops from Food Lion so we could cook my dad a nice Father’s Day meal. They were marked down on a manager’s special and weren’t supposed to expire until June 22, so we thought we were getting a good deal. When we got home and opened the package, the pork chops were completely rotten. We had only bought them about 30 minutes earlier. We took them right back to the store, and at first they told us we couldn’t exchange them or get a refund because they were on a manager’s special. My mom had to really push the issue before they finally agreed to give her money back. The meat was already spoiled when we bought it, we just didn’t realize it until we opened the package. I don’t understand how anyone could expect customers to keep or eat rotten meat just because it was discounted. We took our money and went to Ingles instead, where we bought fresh pork chops that weren’t rotten. Very disappointed with how this was handled.

  Food Lion needs to educate you employees on how to use your MVP & extra deals that I try to use.. but I had earned $10 by May 30 & they said it expired the end of May.(it's not the 1st time this happened to me)! I believe some should learn the rules!! I don't like to have to argue! It's embarrassing! Some times I buy extra groceries to make my rewards larger!!

  This is the worst grocery chain. I feel like I need a bath when I leave this place. Their selection is poor and everyone looks like they fell off a Turnip Truck
