I'm so happy that the Garrison took over this spot. We've gone to their Pineville location several times and this one is super close to our house. My son and father in law got the steak sandwich, sister in law got the fish n chips, my husband got the Sicilian pizza, and I got the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl. Everyone loved the food! So delicious and came out fast, especially for how fresh and amazing their food is. Our server was on point and was very helpful and attentive. Next time I'll have to add pics!

My family and I (party of 11 including 3 small children) went to this Garrison's this past Tuesday (6/30/2026) hoping for a unque enjoyable dining experience. Sadly, it was unque but not very enjoyable. We arrived at 6:30 PM and did not get to order our drinks for some 15 minutes. When we ordered dinner at about 7:00 we wound up waiting an hour for our meals to arrive. 3 of us got the ahi Tuna bowl and all 3 received grossly different portion sizes. One of which we had to wait an additonal 5 minutes because it ws not served with the rest of the meals. When I tried to speak to the manager about ut poor experience I felt summarily dismissed and was given the excuse that the kitchen was too small (?). While my brother was speaking with the manager someone (the real manager?) came over and told her she was needed elsewhere so she left in the middle of her conversation. Just a over the top bad dinning experience.

This was honestly one of my worst dining experiences to date, service-wise. We waited about an hour and a half or more for our food. Because we had young children in our party, I asked for bread after about 45 minutes to hold them over. The restaurant was stingy with the bread and they CHARGED us for it. For a few SMALL slices of a baguette. 4 of us at my table ordered the ahi tuna poke bowl and the portions were not very filling. The rice was undercooked and the sauce was too creamy. I was expecting more of a vinaigrette-type sauce, given the description. Maybe the worst of it was that one person in my party got a burger and it was quite undercooked, to the point of being stringy on the inside. While they took the charge off the final check for the undercooked burger, they also offered no alternative. AND they included it in part of the bill that is used to calculate gratuity. We asked to speak to a manager before the food came out and she was very dismissive, giving excuses about the kitchen being too small. Our server was perfectly pleasant but I believe I can confidently say that no one in my party will be returning anytime soon, which is a shame because at least 4 people in my party would have loved to make this place a regular dining spot. The previous restaurant at this location was a weekly spot for them. If the manager had made more of an effort to do her job properly, this could have been just a funny story and we would happily come back, probably as regular patrons. The server seemed a bit new to the job, but did an adequate job. Considering we asked to speak to the manager multiple times and so little was done to correct the issues, the negatives far outweigh the very few positives. Additionally, I heard this place spent a lot of money on renovations but it looks like a lot of shortcuts were made. There are a lot of details that were overlooked, or too many shortcuts taken while renovating. For an overpriced meal that required reservations and such a long wait for our food with no apology from the manager, I am extremely disappointed.

Extremely disappointing. This was my 3rd visit to the restaurant, with their St. Louis style pizza being the ONLY reason I go there. The crust on this style of pizza is supposed to be crisp, almost cracker-like. The crust was as it was supposed to be on my first two visits. Today, whoever baked my pizza apparently preferred the soft, floppy, foldable crust typical of NY style pizza. If I wanted foldable crust, I can get that anywhere. I ended up just scooping the toppings off of the crust, and leaving all of the crust behind. On the positive side, saved myself some carbs. My wife’s food was very good, but don’t be so stingy with the ranch dressing. Also, don’t make ketchup something that needs to be requested. If the customer orders fries, automatically provide ketchup.

This is our second visit to the Garrison at Tega Cay. The first was shortly after the opening of the main restaurant. It was an unpleasant experience all around, except for the server who did her best to take care of us. We decided to wait a while before trying the restaurant again to see if they can get the wrinkles ironed out. We were surprised at the disarray given that the owner has two very successful restaurants in Pineville. Now, for our most recent visit, following a golf outing. What a disappointment to find such a limited bar food menu on Mondays! Pizza, salad, or a meatball sub! That's it! And the main restaurant was closed so no ordering from that menu. We learned from the staff that the reason for the limited Monday dining options was designed to give the cooks a rest! Seriously! With golfing nearly every Monday, for several years we thoroughly enjoyed gathering at the Shore Club afterward for dinner and drinks. We have waited months since the Shore Club's closure. Now, with such limited service and menu options on "Marguax" Mondays, we may need to find another restaurant in the area. We were told there is a different bar food menu for Tues thru Sun! At least make that available on Mondays! We had such high hopes for the renovation and new restaurant management, etc. So far, it's just not working out.
