    Absolutely terrible experience with upper management and this restaurant. Tonight the restaurant’s internet went down which slowed the entire operation to a stop. While we tried to be patient and understanding about the situation, upper management instructed staff not to let guests leave unless they could pay in cash and wait indefinitely for the internet to come back online, with no clear timeline provided (at least 1.5 hours down at the point we left). Our server did the best he could under the circumstances and brought us a bill totaling $116. We only had $107 in cash so I had to send my friends to find an ATM. While they were gone, I asked multiple times for the general manager’s name but staff refused to provide it and would only give me the restaurant’s generic phone number. After waiting another 15 minutes, I told the server that if my friends were unable to return with the additional cash, I would be leaving the $107 I had, and they were welcome to call the police if they wanted to pursue the matter further. Eventually, I was able to get the general manager’s name and email. Based on this experience, I sincerely believe upper management handled the situation horribly and should be fired. Especially telling staff not to give out information for clients to reach out to after holding them hostage. You almost can’t make this up. My friends did eventually arrive with the additional money needed and we left but will NEVER be back.

    This was my first time ordering from Hobo’s. They were hosting a benefit to support Safe Passage, so I decided to order dinner and contribute to the cause. I chose the fish sandwich, and it exceeded expectations the fish was incredibly fresh, almost as if it had been caught that same day off the coast. It was easily one of the best fish sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. I’m grateful they hosted this event, as I may not have discovered Hobo’s otherwise. Thank you to Hobo’s for supporting Safe Passage and the important work they do

    I have been here several times and I enjoy it but today I tried the fish bites and sweet potato chips. Both were overly seasoned but those bites were soooooo greasy.. they made us another batch where the chips were better but not as crispy and the bites were still greasy. It gave funnel cake soaked in grease. I was nausea and disappointed.

    I placed an online order through their website for a 6:00 PM pickup. I arrived right at 6:00, but didn’t receive my food until 7:55. During that time, I watched multiple customers come in, eat, and leave. One family came in, placed a to-go order, received it, and walked out while I was still waiting. Every time I asked the host for an update, she said she’d “go check on it,” then returned to tell me they were “working on it.” Finally, I asked to speak with the manager. As I began explaining the situation, she interrupted me to ask for the name on the order. She went to the kitchen and sent someone out to tell me they were working on it and it would be ready in 10 minutes. In total, it took nearly an hour and a half from the time I placed my order to actually picking it up.
