To Whom It May Concern, I am writing regarding an extremely disappointing experience my parents encountered while visiting your Panera Bread location in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina  a place they have frequented and genuinely enjoyed for years during their visits. My parents are both in their 70s, and what should have been a pleasant outing quickly became an example of unnecessary disrespect and poor customer interaction. Regardless of age, every paying customer deserves to be treated with patience, dignity, and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was not the experience they received from your GM, Jose. What is most troubling is not simply an issue of customer service, but the complete lack of basic courtesy shown toward two elderly individuals. There is also a difference between efficiency and rudeness. Instead of attempting to professionally resolve the situation, Jose  was rude, argumentative, and dismissive throughout the interaction. Businesses like yours build loyalty through atmosphere and treatment just as much as food quality. My parents have always spoken highly of Panera Bread, which makes this experience even more disappointing. No customer especially senior citizens should leave feeling belittled or disrespected. I strongly encourage management to address this matter internally and remind staff that professionalism, patience, and respect are not optional parts of customer service. They are the standard customers should expect when walking through your doors. I would appreciate acknowledgment that this concern has been received and reviewed. Sincerely,Tosombra Best

My family is not from South Carolina my grandma was just disrespected at 70 years old by a young man named Jose very rude and disrespectful at the mouth at this store and it was uncalled for and it was not necessary. If you are the owner of this store and u are allowing your general manager to disrespect elderly people the whole store needs to be shut down expeditiously!!!! This is uncalled for especially for a visit to another state do better!

A young Hispanic man named Jose was extremely rude to my grandmother when she visited a few hours ago. My grandmother is 70 years old and febrile, and she did not deserve that kind of treatment. Another employee mentioned that this behavior is common and that he treats many customers this way. It’s shameful behavior, especially from someone who is supposed to be a general manager. Customer service: 0/10.
