My family and I travel to Myrtle Beach almost every year, and every year we try to find new places to eat at. This year, we chose Crooked Hammock. Unfortunately, we did not have the best experience. The mac n' cheese my boys ordered came out cold, the cheese was starting to thicken, and my boys would not eat it. My in-laws and wife either could not eat their meal due to the food being cold or they were missing items that they ordered. Through all of this, our waitress Ellorie was very accommodating and apologetic. We did ask to speak to the manager on duty, and it happened to be Eric the GM. Erin was also very accommodating, she brought the boys a different item to eat off the menu, and took care of us the best she could. Through all of this, we will give Crooked Hammock another try when we travel back down to Myrtle Beach, due to the kindness shown by Ellorie and Erin. I believe not many people would have tried to accommodate to our dissatisfaction and we are thankful that Ellorie and Erin did.

Our group of six sat at the bar during a mid‑afternoon visit, and we had a great experience. Jordyn, our bartender, was fantastic—personable, attentive, and genuinely welcoming! She really elevated our visit. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, and the food was outstanding. My boneless wings with the sticky lager glaze were delicious, and the pineapple coconut craft beer was a fun & refreshing. The restaurant also offers plenty of spacious seating both inside and outside, which makes it easy to enjoy a meal without feeling crowded. With such cool beach‑vibe decor throughout the restaurant—both indoors and outside—the branded apparel unfortunately missed the mark. It doesn’t reflect the same fun, coastal vibe the space itself gives off. The women’s t‑shirt options felt generic, with limited colors, no v‑neck or feminine‑cut styles, and thicker, less comfortable material. I had hoped to buy another shirt like the one I purchased years ago, but it seems the apparel has changed and no longer represents the brand as well as it used to. Overall, I’d still **highly recommend this restaurant** for its great service, excellent food, and comfortable seating—just hoping their women’s merchandise gets an update to match the awesome atmosphere.

The food is good but the place is disgusting. Midday on a Wednesday, I came here with myself, daughter, boyfriend, aunt and grandfather. AI ordered a water and when the waiter brought out my water, it had black specks in the ice. My daughter ordered the corn dogs and when they brought out her plate there were seven corn dogs which there was supposed to be eight and about six fries. Now here is the best part.. I took my daughter to the bathroom and before we even walked into the bathroom there was a large roach on the floor in the hallway. Once we got into the bathroom it had an awful smell and immediately knew why.. The trashcans were overflowing specifically in the large stall with dirty diapers. No shame to moms who take their kids in there to change their kids, I was one of them but more so to the management for not keeping up with the bathroom. When we went to go wash our hands, a smaller roach climbed out of a crack by the sink and back in. My daughter and I ran out of there. I’ve never experienced anything like that before at a restaurant. And it’s a shame because the one in Delaware is amazing. This one just needs to be demolished because of the roaches. I wish I would’ve taken pictures of everything but it was more of a flight mode for me to get up out of there.

This is more of a 3.5 than a 4 star review, food was good, I got the gardener salad, had the hot mess dessert and a Saratoga sparkling water, but service is a bit of a coin toss. Our waitress was phenomenal especially since she was very young only 18 and she did just jaw dropping. I will say though that the kitchen had some drawbacks, they messed up my sisters food which I don’t have the picture of but it was the street corn fries, she wanted no black beans and they were covered in it, silverware didn’t come for my salad and then a spoon I got before my dessert came out was dirty, all in l though a decent place to eat for sure
