The place is beautifully decorated, and the staff was very friendly and pleasant. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. The nachos were delicious, but both poke bowls were way too spicy. We actually love spicy food, but here the balance between the heat and the other flavors just didn’t work — the spiciness completely overpowered the taste of the tuna. The Hawaiian-style Kalua pork was also extremely dry and came with no sauce at all, which made it almost impossible to eat. Overall, we expected much more from the food.

This was horrible service we experienced at Big Chill. We came from out of state to state at Myrtle Beach and made plans for each night we stayed here. One of the nights, we planned weeks ahead of time to eat at Big Chill specifically because they advertised a fire show and south pacific entertainment. We showed up on time and waited 45 minutes to see the show only to be told the performers showed up early and because of that, the show started an hour early. So my party missed the show because the performers were early. That is not good business. People came to the restaurant to see a show and were jipped. If you're a business and advertise an event that people look forward to and go by the time in the advertisement, you should honor that. If the performers show up early they need to wait the hour and do the show when advertised. Will not be going here again.

We had our rehearsal dinner here for our wedding and it was absolutely wonderful. We rented the top floor and the flow from indoor/outdoor to the open waterway view was everything! I worked with their event coordinator Aliza who was so gracious, communicative, and welcoming and didn’t bat an eye in accommodating me when I mentioned 3 different special dietary restrictions for our menu. The other staff member that helped us the day of the event, Melissa, Paul, Brookelynne, Kristine & Abby, were all so so sweet and efficient. They made sure all the guests were taken care of and happy for the whole night. I was never once concerned our guests didn’t have everything they need. They also worked with me for a surprise for my husband to have his best friend call in from serving overseas to give a speech over their TV and sound system. I’ll never be able to thank them enough for that! If you’re looking for a fun beautiful event space with a present and competent staff; this is 100% your place!

I am incredibly surprised this place doesn't have a higher rating! I really enjoyed my time here. The atmosphere is so cute and clean, and our waitress was wonderfully nice and genuine. The Food & Drinks: Pulled Pork Bao Buns: Absolutely amazing. The pulled pork in general was easily my favorite part of the meal. Drinks: Spot on and really great. Crab Rangoon Dip: This was the only slight letdown, purely based on expectations. I was anticipating a rich, cream cheese-based dip like a classic crab rangoon filling. Instead, it's a more basic crab dip served with Thai chili wonton chips. It was still really tasty, just not quite what I expected going in! The One That Got Away: I was so bummed that they were already sold out of the key lime pie- I guess it's popular, so definitely order it early if you see it! Overall, a fantastic experience and I will definitely be back (hopefully in time for a slice of pie next time). Don't let the lower rating fool you- this spot is well worth a visit!

We visited Big Chill after discovering it through an influencer’s post on social media. The vibes are great and the atmosphere is beautiful. Our server was pretty good, but that’s where my positive feedback ends. The food was mediocre at best, and for the price I absolutely expected more. We started with the street corn; the dish itself was okay, but the accompanying chips were terrible. Three people at our table ordered the mahi, and the portion sizes of the fish varied tremendously. One person received the smallest piece of fish I’ve ever seen, while another was served a portion at least three times larger. We also tried the pineapple skewers, which were just okay. The pineapple itself wasn’t very ripe or sweet. The last dish we had was the tuna poke bowl. It arrived with jalapeños that were not listed on the menu, and the tuna itself wasn’t cold—it was room temperature at best. Big Chill has a beautiful atmosphere and great overall vibes, but the food quality and consistency need significant improvement to match the prices. From poor chips and underripe pineapple to dramatically inconsistent mahi portions, unlisted jalapeños, and room-temperature tuna, too many details fell short during our visit. While the service was decent, the dining experience did not justify the cost, and unfortunately, I would not recommend it based on this experience.
