  It's not Rio Chico or La Hacienda, but it's not bad. Fresh veggies. I like it better than the mystery meat at Taco Hell. The servers are nice. Good atmosphere. There's not a lot of flavor. It only cost me $13.00 for a taco salad lunch. If your getting to go, you should ask for the fried shells in a separate container. That way they aren't soggy when u get your food home.

  I recently dined here at Toro Birtia and had an absolutely incredible experience. I would give it a solid 10 out of 10! The food was amazing, bursting with authentic flavors that transported me straight to Mexico. Every dish tasted freshly made and full of rich, vibrant spices. The margaritas were wonderful—perfectly balanced, refreshing, and a great complement to the meal. The service was exceptional as well; the staff was attentive, friendly, and made the entire dining experience feel special. Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving top-quality Mexican cuisine and outstanding service. Highly recommended!

  AMAZING FLAVORS & Very Affordable with Massive Portions. 5 pages of AMAZING dishes Far Better than any neighboring Mexican places. I give 5 star rating for fresh contents, flavor, great people inclusive of the cook & wife who own Torro Birria. Find it on a Map or if your at the End of Ashley Phosphate turn Right onto Dorchester & an immediate right at Taco Bell & look straight heading past their Drive Thru at end of a Big Church or former grocery store. I promise you will LoVe their real lime margaritas with no powders. Seriously I suggest their massive Taco Salad. And try two Beef or Chicken Crunch Tacos with lettuce, tomato, onions, cheese & sour cream around "Filled Full" for $8.99 plus they serve Chips & great tasting SALSA that is not SALTY like others.   We'll get to the food in a bit but first I want to say that the customer service here was awesome. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The downside is the reason everyone would go to a restaurant to eat .. Food. Their food is very sub-par imo. I'm sure a lot of people who are unfamiliar with the flavors of Mexican food would love it because the food was pretty bland to say the least. It was presented beautifully but was very underwhelming flavor wise. I order the Birria taco plate that came with red rice, refried beans, and consome. Everything on my plate needed salt. The meat wasn't tender at all and didn't have much flavor, tacos didn't have cheese on it like most birria tacos do, and the refried beans were honestly the best part of the plate. I will say, their chips and salsa are great!! But for a place that has "Birria" in their name, they really dropped the ball for me and I'm from southern California so I know what restaurant style Mexican food is supposed to taste like. I would advise anyone looking for authentic Mexican food to try King Taco in Summerville if they want really good Birria tacos. Ciao!

  First time here. Saturday, for lunch. The atmosphere was nice and clean. I loved the vibrant colors of the hats near the bar. The staff was super friendly and attentive. We even chatted a little. I got the hulk burrito with a side of rice. I did not think the portions were going to be that big. It was huge and delicious. I ate the whole thing, which I did not think I was going to happen. Prices are excellent. Especially for all the food I got. Also…there is a girl that looks like Whitney Houston. Our sever was Gabby. She was super nice and smiled the whole time. Very polite too. I am a fan and will be going back. Update: Saturday May 2, 2026 I was finally able to make it back. I got (I think) Pamblam…it was the sandwich with the hot sausage and it was delicious. It was fine in a couple of bites. I need to learn to make this. I was speaking with Miss Gabby about different foods and she suggested I try to Street Tacos. So I got some to take home. I told her to just surprise me , I don’t want to know what kind. She did not disappoint. It was so good. I don’t think I will order any more…I will just tell her to surprise me. She has not steered me wrong yet. I love this place.
