If you’re in Myrtle Beach and looking for a solid, classic breakfast spot, Shoney’s is absolutely worth the stop—just be ready for a crowd, especially on a Sunday morning. But honestly, that’s to be expected at the beach.
From the moment we walked in, it was clear they were busy—but what stood out was how well the staff handled it. The team was incredibly friendly, organized, and efficient. Even with the rush, they kept things moving smoothly and got customers seated and served quickly without making anyone feel rushed.
The breakfast buffet was exactly what you hope for—and then some. Everything was fully stocked, fresh, and constantly being replenished. No empty trays, no waiting around. Just a full spread of classic breakfast favorites: fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, biscuits and gravy, and more. It’s the kind of comfort food that hits the spot, especially when you’re starting a day at the beach.
The atmosphere had that familiar, welcoming feel that Shoney’s has always been known for. And honestly, with so few Shoney’s locations left in our area, it made the experience even more special. There’s something about walking in, grabbing a plate from the buffet, and enjoying those classic flavors that brings back real childhood nostalgia.
All in all, this location does it right—great food, great service, and a well-run operation even during peak hours. If you’re in Myrtle Beach and craving a hearty, no-frills breakfast with a side of memories, Shoney’s is a must-visit.
