Our waitress was beyond rude, didnt seem as if she wanted to even be working let alone helping anyone. We had to ask for our own refills, she was rude when we asked about substituting the side with our food. The floor was so sticky my flip flop came off bc it stuck to the floor when we first walked in. The booths are also extremely sticky. Never again will we visit on vacation nor do we recommend.

If you are a fan of authentic and good Korean BBQ this place is not for you. Was quite disappointed with the food. Service was great, our waiter was lovely but the food was not good, at all. Even down to the sides and salads. Cuts of meat were very obviously cheap, way too fatty to be enjoyable, some cuts looked like they had been sitting out for a long time, to the point we didn’t feel comfortable eating some of them. The sides were really bland and also clearly cheap. If you are someone who enjoys real KBBQ this place isn’t for you unfortunately. Also, upon reading other low reviews- owner seems very unprofessional and rude in the replies, I would steer clear of this place.

Oh my goodness!! Why haven’t I tried Lava sooner?!! What a phenomenal experience. Mikala greeted us and seated us when we arrived and was so welcoming and friendly. She was our server and was knowledgeable, helpful and even accommodated and thoroughly went over my unusual food ingredient sensitivities. I got the Crunchyroll, which was the best I’ve had in years and super reasonable at $7. I also had the seven dollar chicken hibachi lunch special. Honestly, my expectation wasn’t high on that and it was absolutely delicious and much larger than I imagined. The vegetables were perfectly done and seasoned and the rice was also wonderful. My husband had the lunch Seafood platter and said it was the best he’s had since we moved from New England. Lava recently added breakfast and the menu looks amazing and affordable . They have a great “outdoor” dining area for cooler days and we can’t wait to try breakfast and sit out. I’m so impressed with everything and can’t wait to go back! Thank you to Mikala for a great first experience.

An absolute must-try for breakfast!
Their restaurant just added breakfast to the menu, and we had the pleasure of trying it out this morning with my friends.Wow, we were completely blown away! We tried a bit of everything: Chicken and Waffles :Perfectly crispy and juicy chicken paired with a light, fluffy waffle.
Avocado Toast :A wonderfully fresh and healthy option topped with beautiful fried eggs and served with a side of sweet fruit.
Savory Omelet :Packed with flavor and served with a side of rich, creamy grits.
Eggs Benedict :Rich, perfectly poached, and topped with a gorgeous hollandaise sauce.
The kitchen did an amazing job bringing these classics to life. Do yourself a favor and come try their breakfast!

I had the lunch Pal Kwang Po Boy. The price suddenly went from $7 three months ago to $12! The tiny shrimp were tasty, but there was never 1/2 pound as advertised on the menu. I couldn’t pick the roll up to eat the sandwich, because the coleslaw on the roll was running down my arm! I had to just eat the shrimp with a fork; the five little things with a crust. My wife had a Philly Cheesesteak, but she said there was no cheese and the meat was big chewy slabs of some kind of meat. Also, the seating is terrible! No foot room if you sit at the grill table, and the chairs are small uncomfortable hard wood foldable things. Lunch for $45, we won’t be back!
