Me and my daughter had dinner at Joe’s Crab Shack last night and it wasn’t just spectacular food but we also had INCREDIBLE service by our server Jessica ! We got to eat outside on the patio and they had an awesome play gym for my daughter to play while we were waiting for the food, which she loved. This was our first time visiting Joe’s Crab Shack at Myrtle Beach and our server recommended the shark nibble drink for my daughter and she absolutely loved it! We could even take the shark cup home. She is just smitten over this shark nibble drink, Thank you Jessica! I definitely recommend the Joe’s Crab Shack in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina!

Our waitress was kind and attentive, but the food was very disappointing! I got the Captains plate, which was ice cold when it got to the table, the melted butter tasted more like water than butter, the crab legs were as cold as they would be right out of the fridge, the fried fish tasted old (after the first bite, I spit it out), the shrimp was cold and was obviously frozen prior to being cooked which made it rubbery and gross. My kids food was at least fresh and hot though. All and all definitely NOT WORTH THE MONEY THAT WE SPENT THERE!!

Top five worst service I’ve ever experienced. We were told we would be seated in 30 mins and were not seated until an hour later when we were the only table listed on the waitlist. Once we were seated it was 15 mins until a server came to our table and then another 20 until we actually got our drinks… none being alcoholic special drinks that needed to be made. I ordered a boil and an order of coconut shrimp. It took us an hour to get our food from when we ordered it and they couldn’t even get it right. They completely forgot about my coconut shrimp and when my family asked for ketchup for their fries that took another 10 mins to get making the children miserable and wouldn’t eat their food. Never was there an apology for the terrible service nor messing up the order. Our family will be sure we do not return here and take our money elsewhere.

We visited for the first time in years, with a table for 11 and a reservation. The food was mostly good, as expected. Three glaring exceptions were: My mom was served boiled red potatoes without a speck of seasoning. That was their "seasonal vegetable" in July. My sister ordered fried crab legs. When the person helping the server put the plate of steamed crab legs in front of her, she questioned the order. He said, "yes, fried" when they clearly weren't. She missed eating all together (took the corrected order to go) because it was several more minutes before the server came to check on our table, then they had to (re)make? her order correctly. I ordered a steam pot with no clams, sub shrimp. It arrived with extra clams/no shrimp.
Lots of misunderstandings between the server and the kitchen. Manager comped 10% of the bill.

The food was spectacular our server Jessica was so sweet! Our table was right beside the water where the fireworks were making it a perfect spot for the Fourth of July, Couldn’t have asked for a better seat! We had a lot of kids and even though they were so tired and loud she made us felt very comfortable and helped us. They even have a little playground for the kids, which was great while we were waiting for our food that help helped out a lot. We were the last families out the restaurant and I know we made a huge mess from our big group and she was so kind about it. It’s hard to find a nice family restaurant to take when you have little children that have great food, great service, and is kid friendlyI! I would highly recommend Joe’s Crab Shack as a place to go …..as our waitress Jessica was just so very kind, attentive and it’s kid friendly and they have absolutely amazing food! We will come back every year!
