Came here for dinner and had the most wonderful experience! Due to unexpected flight delays, they were incredibly accommodating and even made it easy for our group to manage our bags. Everything we ordered from the appetizers and drinks to the entrees was absolutely incredible.
Morgan was our server and we truly couldn’t have asked for better service. Not only did he make excellent food and drink recommendations, but he also helped us plan out our entire trip and gave us the best recommendations. He went above and beyond to make our experience so special. We can’t wait to come back!

A wonderful way to end a busy week of work travel. We decided to get out of Charleston but wanted to stay somewhere quiet with close proximity to the airport. This is where Mt. Pleasant and The Post House merged. The service was outstanding! From the personal phone call prior to our arrival, the welcome to the hotel in the middle of a busy dinner rush, to the sweet little gestures from the staff to make sure they knew we were appreciated. The room was quaint and quiet, even above the bustling restaraunt. The decor was beautiful, emphasizing details of old southern charm. There is not parking, but we had no problem finding a spot on the street. Walking around the area at night was so calm and relaxing. We had not heard of the restaurant, but we gave it a try for dinner. We were so glad the host called us days before to secure reservations, because it was very busy! Everything we ordered was cooked and seasoned very well. With such a great dinner we ate brunch there the next morning. If you like quaint, costal charm with good food and service, this is a must on your list. Thank you to the owners & staff at Post House for helping us end a busy week with rest.

I was really disappointed by my experience at The Post House Restaurant and I am so sad about it because I was very excited to go there. I have no issue whatsoever with the price point, but the quality should justify it and unfortunately, it feel very short.
The atmosphere was beautiful, and the waitstaff was kind. I stopped in for lunch and unfortunately I would not recommend the Caesar salad. I ordered a Caesar salad and fries.
The salad was soggy and poorly executed, and I left most of it untouched. My fries were also very late. The restaurant offered to replace the salad, which I appreciated, but the second salad was no better than the first and was again left largely untouched.
The weight staff did try to remedy the situation but went no further than providing a second salad, given the quality it was honestly not worth the money.

We unfortunately didn’t get to stay at the post inn, but we did have dinner there.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING 10/10. From the second we walked in, we were greeted by an extremely sweet hostess. The restaurant is so cute with a very cozy feel. Our waiter Morgan was awesome! Not only did he go through the entire menu with us, but he gave us a hand written list of all the spots to hit while on our vacation.
Every. Single. Thing. On the menu looked delicious. If we could have ordered one of everything we would have. The portions were generous, and there was not a crumb left on our plates.
The food came out fresh and in a timely matter, even with the restaurant packed. And the service was outstanding.
To top it all off, I had mentioned when making our reservation that my husband and I were on our honeymoon and our table had a card and a gift waiting for us.
Like I said, we didn’t get to stay here, but I can only imagine how great of an experience it would be.
I would recommend the caprese salad, shrimp cavatelli, and butternut squash ravioli!
This is a new staple for us, and definitely a must try when visiting!

On our drive up the South Carolina coast, we were looking for a great restaurant to break up the trip, and The Post House in Mount Pleasant seemed like the perfect stop. It turned out to be even better than we expected. From the moment we arrived, we loved the warm, charming, and effortlessly stylish atmosphere.
We started with a dozen raw oysters, the peach brûlée and the goat cheese brûlée appetizer, both of which were creative, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. For our entrée, the pork tenderloin with collard greens, rice, and carrots was perfectly cooked and full of incredible flavor.
What truly made the experience memorable was the outstanding service. Kate guided us through the menu with warmth, knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm, making every recommendation feel personal and spot-on. Her hospitality elevated an already fantastic meal.
If you're passing through the Charleston area or looking for a destination-worthy meal in Mount Pleasant, The Post House is well worth the visit. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stop and will definitely recommend it to friends and family.
