  I’ve been to post house many times over the years, and I’ve always loved it. Unfortunately, the most recent time I went, it was subpar. The service was great, very friendly and attentive. The food is where I was a bit disappointed. The duck confit was very dry and bland, as well as the potatoes in the dish. And the burger- normally my favorite- was lacking flavor but to top it off, the fries were straight up cold. This wouldn’t deter me from going back to Post House, maybe it was just an off night, but I was of course very excited for this meal and hyped it up for it to be kind of a let down. The ambiance and drink list though are great! Hopefully next time, if I make it back here, it will prove me wrong.

  Came here today for a solo lunch and had a nice time. The food was alright but the ambience and service was amazing which absolutely will make me come back again. Stella was my server and she was wonderful as well as the manager. Sometimes you go out and it’s bad service, OK service, good service whatever you don’t think much about it but then there’s those few times you go out and think to yourself wow they know hospitality and that’s the impression I got.

  First time here, and won't be the last. Everything about it was just excellent. Beautiful old building, sympathetically decorated and furnished, wonderful staff (thank you Alexandria and all the others), and the food was delicious. Altogether a great experience.

  This has taken the cake on my favorite dinner in Charleston. Every bit was DELIGHTFUL. The menu blew my mind. Favorite appetizer - a peach + goat cheese crème brûlée served over an arugula salad. We had oysters, cocktails, wine, pork tenderloin, autumn squash ravioli, and the servers brought out a scoop of gelato for the birthday! The atmosphere is homey, cozy, chic, classic Lowcountry Americana. The flavors were astounding, the service was lovely. Perfect for date night or dinner with your parents or drinks with the girls.

  I’ll start this review by saying that this was nothing short of exceptional. My fiancé and I decided to stop in for a date night because, honestly, who doesn’t love a spontaneous dinner date?At the door, we were happily greeted and seated at a table. (FYI, they have some incredible chairs.) At just the right time, our waiter for the evening, Morgan, came over to introduce himself and give us the lay of the land. I have to say, folks, this man is an absolute legend. He checked on us just the right amount—enough to make sure we were taken care of without constantly bombarding us, but often enough that we never wondered where he was.Long story short, Morgan, you are the star of the show. Food-wise, everything was incredible. My partner ordered the ravioli, and I could have eaten two more plates! It had such an interesting flavor profile that brought together every colorful ingredient in the dish.Unfortunately, tonight I ordered the burger. Not unfortunate because it wasn’t good—it was freaking amazing—but unfortunate because it meant I couldn’t order anything else.Morgan, being the absolute champion he is, surprised us with a free cornbread. This cornbread was better than my grandmother’s, which is no small feat. As someone who works in food and bev, I can confidently say this place has it going on. Five out of five stars. If you rate it any less, you’re wrong. 👍🏻😁
