Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

- AKAdam KramerAug 23, 20265.0I recently tried Culver’s and was really dissatisfied with the taste of the food and thought I should taste whataburger. My goodness it is way better. I understand the way the two burgers are made is completely different but I will say that the flavor was definitely way better. They give that unique size to their burgers with a McDonalds style fries that aren’t as salty. I will be bringing my mother who is also quite unimpressed by Culver’s to whataburger next time I come. 5 star food and the gentlemen at the window was very patient with me as I ordered my food.

They gave me the biggest tomato they could put on there. Little tomatoes, no lettuce. They put the bacon in between the two pieces of meat and put the cheese on top. It's like they microwaved it and put it on the bun. My fries were cold and I ordered onion rings just that atmosphere of that that area where that what burger is. Yeah it's not for us. It's for I guess. Whoever likes to go there, it's just not for me
