  Definitely try this family friendly café and try something different!! One of the best indicators of a truly authentic restaurant is who you see eating there, and both times I’ve visited, the dining room had several Indian families, which is definitely a great indicator that the food is traditional. The flavors are incredible. My son has been eating here for a while now and has tried every dish on the menu! A big thank you to the staff for taking such great care of him! When you enter you'll be warmly greeted by Ashish, who works daily as the café server and dining room host. He is one of THE most welcoming, kind, and friendly people in the world. He also makes a point to personally holds the door and say goodbye to each person who leaves, a rare politeness! All of the staff seem to know their regular customers by name, which is really something special to witness. The chef is skilled at modifying spice levels to suit each person's pallet and everything is made fresh, cooked to order just for you. They'll tell you how a dish was made and will happily engage in conversation with customers who are interested in learning more about Indian cuisine and culture. As the mother of a teenage son who is a regular, I could not be happier with the level of service and kindness that each member of the cafe staff has shown him. Each one truly takes pride in their business and in serving authentic cuisine with exceptional service. If you're not familiar with the food, just ask for some suggestions. If you're new to the food, I can personally recommend starting with something like their butter chicken or Tika marsala with chicken. These are great dishes that most Americans will really like. My son's favorite seems to be anything with goat, which I tried and also enjoyed. Keep up the fantastic work everyone! The Lexington community is lucky to have your awesome café!

  100/10!!! The best Indian food I’ve ever had, my fiance had it for the first time tonight, We had Somosas, chicken 65 & both of us got butter chicken different spice levels. Service was so good. Everyone is so polite!! Way better than 2gingers in my opinion. Will def be back 🩷🩷

  Vedha Indian Cafe is a must for those living in Lexington, SC. My daughter has traveled extensively and knows good food! She treated me to lunch for my 67th Birthday. She said order what you want :) I ordered the following: Appetizer: Mixed Veggie Pakora; it was amazing! Aloo Gobi Masala - mild spice was delicious Korma Curry with Lamb - mild spice and the lamb was so tender. I do not like hot spicy foods, but they delivered with mild spices that I enjoyed and the food was full of flavor. Please do not be afraid to try something different. You will not be disappointed! The food was delicious, the service was amazing, food was brought out quickly and prices are comparable to other restaurants and cafe’s in Lexington. You will not be disappointed!

  It’s not hard to find good Indian food in the Lexington/Columbia area if you know where to look. However, very few are succeeding in every category quite like Vedha. I order takeout from my favorite Indian restaurants almost exclusively because the food is great but I can’t count on the dine-in experience being similarly up to par. I either have to wait a long time for the food to arrive or the service is lacking or both. Not at Vedha. The food is as good as any of my favorite haunts, it comes out in a FLASH (truly, I don’t know how they do it), and the wait staff are attentive and courteous. The inside is small but I enjoy a cozy hole-in-the-wall type atmosphere. I’m never a fan of TVs in a restaurant so that was the only thing I felt detracted from the experience, but not by much. Certainly not enough to keep me from coming back. I will definitely be back with friends in tow!
