  Sat bar because no reservation so very limited menu. Came because Resy member On line menu different than bar. Sat 10 min waiting for service. Ordered Shrimp skewers grilled no taste had night before at different venue and were delicious. husband got flounder also not really good. Brought appetizer crab dip fair walked away no napkins or plates. Will not return

  Great environment, food leave something to be desired. The environment here is really fun. Outdoor seating overlooks a fishing wharf with active docks and the music adds a fun touch. The food is nothing to write home about. Nothing memorable, nothing revolutionary. Everything we ordered was just ok. It was fresh and served quickly but the flavor was just okay. Probably won’t be back, but that’s ok, I don’t regret giving it a try.

  We had a wonderful experience at Islander 71! The food was fantastic, and Jenna provided some of the best service we’ve had in a long time. She was warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. Her menu recommendations were spot on, and she took the time to answer our questions and help us decide what to order. Everything she suggested was delicious. Jenna was attentive, personable, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great dining experience. We’ll definitely be back and hope to have her as our server again!

  We're locals (to charleston not iop) and had a night out after a professional engagement on the island. We had heard great things before about the establishment and wanted to check it out. Wow. We sat outside with gorgeous weather. We were going to do apps and a couple drinks but after the service and recommendations we recieved from our server (Mallory) we ordered entrees and had a few cocktails and had such a relaxing time. I was reminded to write this review because we went to another restaurant tonight and recieved the exact opposite and I wanted to leave a bad review. My wife reminded me to give praise to those who deserve it instead of call another out. Will be back soon for barrata with salmon!

  This was a really enjoyable experience. For years, whenever I visited Isle of Palms, this was always the place to grab a casual meal and a few drinks after spending time on the water. Returning after several years, I was impressed by how much the property has been upgraded. It feels more polished and inviting while still maintaining the relaxed marina atmosphere that made it popular in the first place. The menu leans toward casual coastal fare: sandwiches, salads, fries, and drinks, which fits the setting perfectly. The upper deck is undoubtedly the best place to sit, offering excellent views of the marina and surrounding waterways. The outdoor bar area is also a great spot to enjoy a drink and soak in the scenery. One of the highlights of our visit was a tilefish sandwich that was being offered as a special. It was absolutely outstanding and easily the best thing I ate that day. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared, it’s the kind of dish you wish would become a permanent menu item. The lobster roll was good, though I did notice some inconsistency among the orders at our table. Mine wasn’t quite as generously packed with large chunks of lobster as some of the others, and seemed like the scraps, which was a little disappointing given how strong the other dishes were. What really stood out, however, was the service. The waitstaff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and attentive, helping create a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. Overall, this remains one of the better spots around Isle of Palms for a casual meal with a view. The upgrades have enhanced the experience, and between the waterfront setting, friendly service, and quality food, it’s definitely a place I’ll continue to visit when I’m in the area.
