  The reason for the two rating on the food was because the okra soup is just a little too sweet to my liking. I’ve eaten here a couple other times and the food was always great. This was my first time getting the okra soup couldn’t eat it at all the baked chicken I got with. It was very tasty. I did eat that.

  Consistently great foods, many that are not offered by others . Wife loves their main dishes,and sides . Portions are large, and taste great! ( Frequently one meal is enough for 2 "meals"- now and then later.) Staff is excellent. Casual dinning atmosphere- they also look to have a booming carry out / delivery options. Now have an App for ordering on line. Main website features their menu ( there appears to be frequent week day specials) and unadvertised items, new items etc are advertised inside. Excellent- highly recommend.

  Tried Gail's for the first time tonight and it did not disappoint. Ordered for take out and the food was ready when they said it would be. Everything tasted great and the portion sizes were perfect.

  This Soul Food spot in Goose Creek is awesome. I just stumbled upon it tonight while looking for dinner and I'm so glad I did. I got two different dinners so I could try a few things. First, the Turkey Wings with Rice and Lima beans, plus candy yams. Second, Fried Porkchop with Mac n Cheese and cabbage. Both had huge portions and the food was seasoned perfectly. It's like eating at grandma's house for a holiday dinner, where every aunt brings their best dish. I'm definitely going to be a regular and I can't wait to try more of their menu. The prices are more than fair. I only snapped one pic because I opened the Porkchop to make sure it wasn't getting soggy. By dinner, we were too focused on eating and forgot to take more pictures. Next time!

  Man, let me tell y’all, Gail’s Soul Food in Goose Creek was flat-out good. I had the meatloaf one day and the chicken the next, and both of ’em was hittin’. That’s the kind of food that’ll have you sittin’ there quiet for a minute just so you can enjoy it right. The meatloaf was seasoned real nice, tender, and full of flavor like somebody grandma was back there in the kitchen puttin’ love in every bite. Then that chicken? Lord, it was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and cooked just right. Ain’t nothing worse than dry chicken, and this definitely wasn’t that. Now the sides really sealed the deal for me. That mac and cheese was homemade for real—cheesy, creamy, and baked just the way it ought to be. And them yams? Whew. Them things was on a whole different level. Sweet, soft, and so good I almost wanted another order. I’m tellin’ you now, if I stayed closer, I’d eat here all the time. Gail’s Soul Food gets a straight 5 outta 5 from me.
