From the friendly greeting by staff at the entrance to the last interaction of the evening, everything was FABULOUS!! The food was cooked to perfection. We ordered the Crab dip and Cornbread for starters. Both were delicious! Our entrees were Scallops and the Shellfish pileau, both were cooked to perfection and arrived timely and perfectly prepared. Our server, Christina H. was the BEST! She was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and attentive to our needs. She went out of her way to ensure that our dining experience and celebration were the best! I highly recommend the Independent Restaurant for dining in Georgetown.

The waitress Christina was one of a kind. She was incredibly educated on the menu and flavors. She also brought out "gifts" which were dishes we didn't order but she wanted us to try. The prices are high but the experience and flavors are more than worth it. Every flavor exceeded expections and there wasn't a bad bite on the whole table. I have nothing but great things to say about this place and a certain tire company should be coming really soon!

We started with the crab dip and fried saltines, along with the smoked shrimp seasoned with Old Bay—both were absolutely delicious. For our entrées, I had the grouper, my husband enjoyed the red snapper, and my mother-in-law had the crab cakes. Every meal was outstanding, and we all left completely satisfied. To top off the evening, we shared the hummingbird cake, which the adorable and friendly manager generously treated us to in honor of our anniversary. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made our celebration even more special. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. From the incredible food to the warm hospitality, the entire experience was wonderful. We can't wait to come back!
