  Best Bojangles in the Area! Ai automated ordering takes some getting used to but besides that GREAT STAFF, DELICIOUS FOOD, AND CLEAN!

  Beware of the Bojangles drive thru AI 🤖 bait & switch upcharges! I ordered a #2 Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit breakfast combo today, which was advertised at $7.39. The AI ordering bot politely asked, “Would you like that medium or large?” Naturally, I assumed those were the only two options available, so I chose medium, figuring that was probably the standard combo size. (And honestly, $7.39 already feels a little steep for breakfast these days.) Then the bot tells me my total is $9.35 and asks me to pull forward. At that point I’m sitting there half-awake, trying to drive, still under-caffeinated, and wondering how a $7.39 combo somehow became $9.35. Even with tax, the math wasn’t adding up. When I got to the window, the cashier repeated the $9.35 total. I mentioned that the menu pricing seemed misleading because the number on the screen didn’t match the actual total. That’s when another employee, who was bagging the order, asked, “Did you want small, medium, or large?” I replied, “Just whatever normally comes with the combo. It only gave me medium or large as options.” She smiled, nodded, and said, “Yeah… she’s programmed for an upcharge. It only gives medium or large.” She quickly fixed the order, swapped my potato rounds into a small bag, handed me a small coffee, and the new total became $8.06. So apparently, the AI ordering system automatically steers customers toward paying extra unless they specifically know to ask for the small size, an option it never even mentions. The previous total of $9.35 includes a 16% up-charge that the Bojangles AI bot tried to slip in just because it can. Just because its corporate masters told it to.

  My husband went and got himself dinner they surcharges him for bo.sized gave small then when he went back instead of the manager trying to do what they need to to fix the problem they blamed the electronic system when they can hear the orders and had an attitude will not be back everything they get something wrong or miss something but this ensured we won't be back.

  It's got better as of late but I'm just not a fan of the automated ordering. It seems if the machine messes it up it can't be fixed requiring more waiting.
