  Buffet had plenty of fresh food. They could use a little more staff. Especially if there a race going on in darlington. However, they did good. 👍

  We love visiting popular, affordable buffets like Shoney's every now and then. It's always a great choice when we're out and about. If you're anything like us, that first hot meal of the day is always a favorite.

  Country fried steak, rice pilaf and mashed potatoes with brown gravy. Freakin awesome. Boo Boo was awesome. Cooks did a phenomenal job. Thank y'all so much for a plate full of good food!

  I’m not sure what to say. We were on our way back from Florida and my wife saw Shoney’s and wanted to go for the nostalgia. We got here at like 4pm on a Saturday and there was not 1 car in the parking lot. We figured there had to be at least 1 employee with a car or something. The sign said OPEN, but we didn’t know if they were or not. We parked and I went inside to check and believe it or not there was like 5-6 people working in the kitchen. So I told everyone to come inside. Of course we were seated quickly because we were the only ones in the restaurant. But our server was great and very hospitable. The food came out fresh and hot. The food quality was great, even for a 1 sheet double sided menu. Part way through our dinner my wife noticed a red passenger van roll up to the front door and like 5 people left the kitchen and walked out and got into the van. We don’t know if it was a halfway house or what, but that explains most of the employees not driving. But we still had at least 4 employees and still no cars. The strangest thing we have ever seen at a restaurant. But honestly the food was good and the service was great. It made for interesting conversation during dinner and the rest of the drive back to NC.

  Best shoneys i can find ! Hell might be the only one ! The staff is as pleasant and customer oriented as they can be , my tea glass wasnt ever more than half full before it was topped off every time, you cant beat service like that ! Make sure you tip these nice people , they putting in the work ! Ill definitely be back
