  We just finished a Birthday dinner at The Kingstide and we were blown away at the food quality and service. Our server Olivia was very knowledgeable and friendly. She pushed me towards the Pork Porterhouse and it was the best chop I’ve ever had. Our drinks and sides were delicious as well. If you’re looking for a beautiful upscale restaurant with a delicious menu and friendly staff make a point to try Kingstide.

  Kingstide on Daniel’s Island completely exceeded our expectations. It felt like home the moment we walked in. Karoline took such warm, attentive care of us from the start, and she seated us at the chef’s table, which gave us a front row view of Chef James and his team working their magic. Watching the kitchen in action added so much to the whole experience (our kids who are 8.5 and 5 thoroughly enjoyed it as well)! Every single dish that came out was amazing, thoughtful, beautifully executed, and clearly made with real care. Between the food, the service, and that welcoming atmosphere, this is easily one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. We’ll absolutely be back, and we can’t recommend Kingstide enough!

  Food is amazing. Very busy place. Over an hour and a half wait. Definitely upscale as far as price goes. I would go back, but probably only on special occasions.

  We had such a wonderful experience at The Kingstide! We arrived about 30 minutes before closing, and our server, Clayton, was absolutely terrific. He never made us feel rushed, even though we stayed past closing time, and he remained friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our entire meal. He even surprised us with an extra appetizer and stayed late to make sure we had a great experience. The seafood was terrific, incredibly fresh, and came out very quickly. The restaurant was clean and had a beautiful, moody atmosphere with an upscale coastal vibe. Between the delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, and Clayton’s exceptional service, we had a fantastic evening and will definitely be back!

  My friends and I came to the kingside to celebrate our last day of teaching preschool for the year. On the phone the manager asked if there was an occasion for our reservation, I told him. When we arrived, our table was suited with a menu for everyone with pencils and an A+ featured on each menu. To some this detail may mean nothing, but to us, the thought that went into that gesture was truly top notch. Our drinks and food were delicious and it was the perfect start to a wonderful night of party for us all. Thank you to the kingstide for this special night, it really meant a lot. Also, in our school year we frequent their daytime option (the dime) around twice a week for a pizza and a coffee, we love it! Truly, I cannot say enough how much the detail of the pencils made us feel seen. Thank you so much again 💜
