Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
While traveling, decided for the first time to try a Whataburger as there are no locations in my home area. Understand it is "fast food" but man was it BAD. Burgers were dried out and tasteless, fries were cold and soggy, my wife's grilled chicken sandwich was chewy and flavorless - frozen and thawed out, badly. We took two bites and threw it out, inedible. The quality is what you would be served at an underfunded, public elementary school cafeteria. What makes the experience even worse are the prices, not cheap. Order from any Wendys, BK or McD's value menu and you will get a better meal at a much better price. I am one and done for Whataburger, what a waste of $21+

One word: DARLENE. i’m not sure if her position is like a hospitality coodinator or something but she was the absolute kindest woman to me and my brother when we came on our lunch break. She apologized for our food being delayed (neither of us made any fuss about it because it didn’t seem to be too long of a wait for us) and she was just extremely generous to us and i’ve never experienced that kindness in a fast food setting. Please come see her and treat her well!!!

Too bad you can’t give ZERO stars! We are in from out of state and ran by this location to grab dinner on our way to our hotel. They served us RAW chicken!! And then wanted US to come back to pick up a ‘free’ sandwich! I begged and pleaded with the manager to send us a new one on Door Dash or Uber since we had no transportation. She kept me on hold for more than 20 minutes with a ‘I can’t do that’ even though I heard a young man offer to bring it. The health department will be notified!! Did I mention RAW CHICKEN!

I was cool with waiting the 25-mins after ordering because I expected a hot and juicy burger as my reward, 🫤 no luck, the burger arrived luke warmed and tasted average at best, nothing special.
