African American male manager that was on duty tonight provided the most hospitable service this evening. Several customers were waiting in lobby area and on porch for the storm to pass. It was raining so so hard. He came out with umbrellas walking each customer that needed assistance to their cars. He was amazing tonight and there were a lot of us. Thank you for your service . You are our BEST MANAGER OF THE MONTH!!!!!

7/31/2026 @ 4PM my wife and son, who is visiting from the military far away, decided to go to what we all thought would be a Very special restaurant with delicious steaks.. Well, we were sadly wrong. Upon arrival we immediately noticed that the place was about 80% empty but I noticed that there were about 10-15 people sitting and standing around waiting for tables. I thought that strange for Friday and payday weekend. The receptionest stated that they were understaffed and there would be about a 10 minute wait. That turned into about 30 mins. We were seated just by the reception area at a 4 top table. Quickly the server, NILAH, approached and asked about our drinks and appetizers. We ordered the Onion and 3 simple waters: One with ice and lemon, Two without ice and lemon. About 15 mins later the server came back with the drink order but without the lemons. She stated that she would get the lemons. At that time the Onion was delivered. I asked for some extra napkins but they NEVER came. My wife finally sourced them from some place in the restaurant. Shortly later we all ordered the entrees. I asked for the Delmonico Ribye Steak, which NILAH stated that they did not have. While waiting for the main food I made the mistake of looking up at.the ceiling. I noticed that the metal framework surrounding the ceiling tiles --in the entire restaurant-- had been painted. Please see attached picture regarding the quality of this paint work. I immediately began to think that if management allowed this quality/standard of painting in a once beautiful restaurant, what can the quality/cleanliness of the kitchen, and the food that comes out of it can be. WOW ! At that time we all began to think about where we really are.... I did not even eat my food, and we left. EVERY request to NILAH from our table was a minimum 12 min wait time.. What a huge dissapointment this experience was, especially since we were wanting quality time with our son who is visiting from the US Military far, far away... For sure this location of the OUTBACK is on life support and probably the whole chain. No worries, we will NEVER darken their doors again !!

This was genuinely one of the poorest experiences I’ve ever had at a chain restaurant. For context, I normally like Outback and usually like the food and service here. This was a different story. Tl;dr - Took us 1hr 45 minutes to be out of the restaurant, dangerously undercooked steak, dismissive manager. The service was abysmally slow in all areas with the exception of seating. We got seated pretty much immediately as it wasn’t that busy, but it took approximately 20 minutes after that to simply order. We then had to wait another 10 minutes just to get our drinks and yet another 20 minutes for the side salad. At this point we were starving, but since we had already gotten drinks, we had to just be as patient as possible. Then, it took yet another 45 minutes to finally get our food. Thankfully, after we had gotten our food, we could use the tablets to pay, so we didn’t have to wait for checks from the wait staff. Then comes the next issue. When I had gotten my steak which I asked for medium rare, the inside was so red that I was questioning if it was safe to eat. I pointed this out to the server as soon as I could, and even they were looking at the steak with concern. They then got the manager to come over, address it and get it over to be refired. Even after, the steak seemingly was only rare, but I ate it as I was hungry and tired of waiting. In my conversation with the manager, I addressed both the steak and the extreme wait times. The complaint about the wait times was seemingly dismissed due to the fact that it was “the busiest time of the week”. The issue with that argument is 1) we were seated almost immediately and 2) even after all that time we sat there, there were still plenty of open tables. If this is what they view as busy, then I worry what wait times would be for a rush that I’ve seen at other chains of a similar size. We did get a 25% discount off our order because of the steak, but to me that feels like a band-aid to a much larger problem. Unless management changes or things turn around, I’d find a different chain to go to for dinner.

When I entered the building, there was no hostess in place so I decided to sit at the bar. The bartender took my order and that was pretty much The extent of my interaction with him. My salad arrived, and it was fresh cool and tasty. Although it took a little longer than expected, it still came before the meal. About the time I receive my steak, I finished my drink. I said the empty glass front and center in front of my plate, expecting the bartender to notice and refill it. I proceeded to eat and actually finished my steak without receiving a refill or even a check back. If it was busy, I would’ve understood, but there were only three guests at the bar. The food was perfect and I would’ve enjoyed my visit. Had I not been treated like I was invisible. It is not my job to summons the server to refill my drink. I stopped the Manager and he apologized and offered to refill my dream. At this time, I was finished with my meal and just ready to go. I missed the days when you could visit outback and get a good meal and great service. I will not be returning to this particular outback, but I will continue to visit the one in Harbison. If you were looking for a great meal and bad service, I strongly recommend the two notch location.
