I am a daily Dunkin’ customer...I visit seven days a week, every single morning. I usually frequent the location on Forest Drive in Columbia, where the staff is always remarkably kind, welcoming, and professional. Because Dunkin’ has always stood out to me as a brand that truly values customer service, what I experienced yesterday was shocking and completely unacceptable. When I pulled up to the drive-thru at the Garners Ferry location, I sat waiting at the speaker box for about 10 to 15 minutes without any greeting or acknowledgment. Wanting to check in, I politely said, "Good morning." Instead of a standard greeting, an employee snapped back at me, saying, "You need to wait. It's only two of us in here." Taken aback by the tone, I replied, "Excuse me?" She responded defensively with the same harsh attitude: "I said it's only two of us in here." I completely understand that stores can experience short-staffing and high-volume rush periods, but there is no excuse for speaking to a customer with such disrespect and hostility. I was polite, patient, and simply trying to place my order, only to be met with immediate aggression. This behavior is completely contrary to the warm, customer-oriented environment I experience every morning on Forest Drive. As a loyal, daily customer, I felt deeply disrespected and dissatisfied with how I was treated. I am bringing this to your attention so management can address employee customer service standards at the Garners Ferry location and ensure guests are treated with basic courtesy, regardless of staffing challenges.
